The relations between Iran and Russia have often been frostier than many realize but recent events are giving them a major potential boost. I hope all the projects being discussed between Iran and Russia come to full fruition.

Iran has been a major automobile manufacturer despite sanctions. It can help Russia in this area.
This below is very welcome news. Until now, no bank outside Iran has been willing to this.
Iran needs hundreds of billions to fully develop its huge and still largely untapped gas reserves.
Iran's attempts to locally manufacture passenger planes haven't been a roaring success. Russia could help as Iran needs new passenger planes to replace its aging fleet.

Ah, so you do support Russia's genocidal war of imperialist and revanchist conquest and your country's aiding and abetting it. I knew it.

I support Iran being able to have normal trade and economic relations with any country willing and able to have such relations with Iran. That would include the US, EU, Ukraine or anyone else.

No matter what atrocities its government perpetrates against its own people or others, of course.

FYP. Corrected the typo/misspelling of "sovereignty" and slighted edited the rest to make sure what you said is properly descriptive and has an inclusive enough audience.

The US might have been able to get away with that in 1992, not 2022.

That should be obvious. In 1992 we were the undisputed superpower, you might even could use the term hyperpower. 2022? We're a hollowed out collapsing empire, running on fumes and are very lucky there is a lot of ruin in our country.

But...I realize many people do think we're just as much of a superpower now as we were then.

So if you put Russia and Iran's brains together....you might get half a brain....is that what you're trying to say?

You're hoping there is a "Russa" in 5 yrs?

Expected response. Any other Russian talking points you'd like to post in this thread? Got an opinion on the occult or bio labs to share, perhaps?

Um, two wrongs wouldn't make a right, but Russia's actions in Ukraine are a different level, like WW2 level vile. America's 2nd invasion of Iraq is sort of similar, but here Putin's intent is more to add resources and territory to his own country rather than (foolishly) try to reform a hostile country. Iraq would be similar if we really had annexed it and taken their oil.

Oh geez it's not that bad. More like China is becoming a superpower that is starting to eclipse us, as has long been predicted.

Explain to me why you think that was a Russian talking point.

LOL! I was one of the Americans in the conversation! You of course, were not. Since we've already established you're not an American, why would it upset you if I weren't?

That's really a longer conversation and off topic for this thread, but in the past 30 years we've dismantled our industrial capacity, shipped it overseas (especially to China), and have exhausted blood and treasure for 20 years on war after war, which left us with nothing. It's been less than a year and a half ago that we left Afghanistan in a rather humiliating defeat. There is no way we could field a military the size of our 1992 military without resorting to a draft. We could do another thread on this topic, but I have already discovered that some people's view of the US is stuck a few decades behind, and think where we were, is were we are.

Well in the decade or so that I've been here, I've made thousands of posts on hundreds of topics, mostly about America and it's social, cultural, and domestic policies.

You? Basically one topic, and it doesn't have anything to do with the US.

    So we know...;-)

Right...sure....I've noticed ...you live on here almost....do you get paid for every post?

Why would I post about the US and criticize it. We have issues....sure. I don't amplify those.

Thing is I visit other sections here also ...Mish...and post about the US...I dont try to be a Mafiosi sympathizer.;)
