Sorry... I'm an Army guy not an Air Force guy. I don't know a whole lot about fixed wing, but I'm something of an expert on Apache... weapons, not flying. I've always felt that the training challenges between Apache and our latest fighter aircraft were similar. Heads Down Displays, Heads Up Display, Integrated Helmets, standoff ranges, etc.

 

Not to be trusted? Between Biden's cowardly abandonment of US citizens and allies in Afghan, and his running away like a scalded dog... and his inaction on Ukraine... I wouldn't expect European nations to trust us at all.

The French are never clueless to what's going on. The government/corporate controlled medias, just censor them so Americans won't know. Yesterday the Azov Battalion blew up a building in Mariopol and killed 200 people. I assume it was because they wouldn't allow them to go in and use them as human shields.

Mariupol was originally a Greek city that was given to them by Catherine the Great. The Greeks who left for Greece are opening their mouths and saying what the Ukrainians have been doing for the past 8 years, so Azov blew up the Greek consulate.

Of course lying Blinken will blame the Russians. He now said they have evidence that the Russians are killing civilians. It figures? I guess the Russians are killing Russians again to make the Ukrainians look bad.

Anyway the situation in Mariupol is very bad. Russia wants to open corridors so the people can leave the way they did in Syria, but Azov knows that if they don't have civilians to use as human shields, that will be the end of them.

And then there's Zalensky. He could give a damn.

 

Shelling the suburban neighborhoods I wouldn't come as a surprise to some and would be to some as well. We'll have to wait and see what Ukraine does about this and what Russia plans to do next. Russia is stepping up their attacks and Ukraine will have to defend what they have and will have to do in full force. We will have to see what happens next.

 

Indeed. America isn't handing out planes straight off the production line. The value of these planes has basically depreciated to $0 or something close. This will be part of some military aid package that will offload some air frames America doesn't need and gets some US companies paid to outfit them with suitably modern internals.

Whether or not you calculate this as a financial loss depends on the likelihood of them ever being sold. Even if that was the case the value of the planes would be a LOT lower than the sticker price when new.

 

Notice how our Putinisata are getting ever more shrill & desperate. They were licking their lips expecting a rapid Russian victory. Now that their boys are getting hit hard and Putin is increasingly targetting Ukrainian cities they are just throwing out everything they can get from their favourite propaganda sources.
