Russian former spy Sergei Skripal is no longer in a critical condition after being poisoned by a nerve agent, doctors have said. Salisbury District Hospital said Mr Skripal is responding well to treatment and "improving rapidly".
Probably like Ebola or Anthrax where survivability increased dramatically with modern treatment. That or the beer they had is a cure for nerve agents.
Good news for Sergei.....but Alexander Litvinenko who died three weeks after drinking a cup of tea" laced with deadly polonium-210 at a London hotel never recovered. These are his last words: "…this may be the time to say one or two things to the person responsible for my present condition. You may succeed in silencing me but that silence comes at a price. You have shown yourself to be as barbaric and ruthless as your most hostile critics have claimed. You have shown yourself to have no respect for life, liberty or any civilized value. You have shown yourself to be unworthy of your office, to be unworthy of the trust of civilized men and women. You may succeed in silencing one man but the howl of protest from around the world will reverberate, Mr Putin, in your ears for the rest of your life. May God forgive you for what you have done, not only to me but to beloved Russia and its people."
that sounds not like a Russian way of speech at all, rather a hackneyed diatribe from some anti-Russian textbook, let alone such an eloquence produced on a deathbed would be highly unlikely in the real world; something like this will pertain completely to the world of fiction. but who were the idiots that wrote it for him? 19th century Russian literature English scholars?
LOL...believe what you will....being a Kremlin apologist brings with it absolutely no relevance. Your silly comments are discounted and simply flushed down the toilet!
Mrs. Litvinenko was present when Alexander spoke his last words and made the deathbed statement accusing Vlad the Invader of causing his demise!
Ah yes Tolstoy, didn’t the Russians murder him. Granted nerve agents weren’t available in those days but ice picks were.
'cause your in denial, face it. as well as Berezovsky was, and Litvinenko would have something way more relevant to say, of course, than cite from Schiller's "Maria Stuart" or like stuff.
sure we did, because he was a British agent, see his Anna Karenina book's characters have English names like 'Kitty' or 'Steve' as diminutives for there Russian names?
