I'm not sure I agree with all that. We stirred the pot big time in Ukraine, and the west is at least partially at fault for this conflict as we expanded NATO since the end of the cold war. This has our own MIC - and therefore our government's - fingerprints all over it. As irrational as Putin may be, and though I definitely think he was the primary reason for this conflict, I think we have already been involved enough where we have an obligation to aid NATO if things escalate. But my hope is that things do not escalate. War is certainly not inevitable.
