I sincerely hope you didn't learn that view in one of our fine universities.

The constitution does not give us rights, it only protects our rights except those our founders chose to cede to the federal government in article I sec 8. I'll only suggest you start at maybe the Magna Carta, a little John Locke, and Adam Smith as prerequisites to a good dose of Madison, Franklin, Washington, and especially Jefferson.

I see no reason to continue a debate with that view. One with that view will not be swayed by me, no matter what I would say, so it would be pointless.

    Good day

Yes we know lins see the US Constitution as an impediment and roadblock to making their agenda the law of the land

Much like Obamacare, which is clearly unconstitutional, the left is always wanting to rewrite the US Constitution to fit whatever the are seeking at the present time

Congress approved the healthcare reform, so nothing illegal took place that passed it as legislation. What provision(s) exactly in Obamacare are unconstitutional?

No, Congress rammed thru Obamacare, had to openly bribe Dems to get their vote, and the USSC will find it unconstitutional

The Feds do not have the power to force me (or any other citizen) to buy a product or service under the threat of fine and jail

And can you repspond to post #17 please?

I think you misread my post you had quoted. Or maybe I just didn't make myself more clear. I never said anything in support of Obama or that Obama hasn't done anything wrong. I was simply criticizing Palin for her language and tone to rally people at these political events. She has been doing this ever since McCain picked her for as a VP running mate in 2008. I just don't agree with her ability to manipulate people by playing off their anger. She is creating this fictional battle in people's minds that their values and beliefs are under attack from the other side. This recent issue with churches and religious organizations being forced to pay for things like contraception measures is a great example for the lies that politicians like Palin tell people.

Members of Congress pressure each other into supporting legislation in all sorts of ways. This is nothing new as it is usually the only way things ever get accomplished in Washington.

The Feds can do whatever they want according to federal laws. Its been this way ever since 1865. Time to wake up.

How can the GOP possibly win with a pair of twits like the wishy washy, three faced, (I'll say anything to get elected) Romney and cult lunitic bufoon Santorum leading the pack...That and the fact that a national joke Palin is your most prominant spokesperson will insure a good old fashioned ass whuppin' in November....

The tea party was started by Ron Paul's contingent. Hearing old line neoCON dupe, chickenhawks claiming to be the "Tea Party" is a laugh....The republicans are going to get their asses handed to them just like the Packers and Patriots did this year...Bet on it champy, just like you say you did on the Giants...

I see Romney as not only being a much more intelligent person than obamot, but he has all the leadership qualities and business acumen that obamot lacks. Frankly, I see Romney having a very easy time beating our current socialist-in-chief. The one thing Romney does have that obamot doesn't have is an undying love, respect and honor for America. And Romney won't apoligize for and belittle America the way obamot does.

I'm not a big Obama fan, but you can bet that he will destroy Romney in any head up debates...Romney is the antithisis of what the GOP should run against Obama. He's the typical spoiled rich kid who was handed a huge amount of money plus endless political and bussiness contacts by the time he was 20....This guy was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple... Mitt was handed everything on a silver platter and has never worked an honest day in his life....

I am waiting for examples of what you called "hate"

I heard her go after Obama's policies, and the results of those policies.

Is this what you classify as "hate"?

Now for the last 3 1/2 years anyone who has done that has been tagged as a racist and spreading hate

As far as the recent issue with the Catholic Church, Obama retreated then passed the buck.

Obama ordered private ins companies to not only provide such services but thold them they could not charge for it

Nowhere in the US Constitution is the President given that authority

he didn't need a teleprompter to whip McCain.

How many diehard evangelists will actually vote for a "cult member" anyway? ;)

Obama uses a teleprompter during staff meetings

It is like his American Express card - he does not leave home without it
