Elite British and US special forces troops are forming a hunter killer unit called Task Force Black – its orders: “Smash the Islamic State.”

The undercover warriors will aim to “cut the head off the snake” by hitting the command structure of the Islamist terror group responsible for a trail of atrocities across Iraq and Syria, reports the Sunday People.

PM David Cameron has told the SAS and UK spy agencies to direct all their (*)resources at defeating IS after a video of US journalist James Foley being beheaded shocked the world.

British special forces will work with America’s Delta Force and Seal Team 6. The move sees a rebirth of top secret Task Force Black, which helped defeat al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq .

This time the counter-terrorist (*)experts will be targeting Abu Bakr (*)al-Baghdadi, leader of IS and now the world’s most wanted terrorist.

A source said: “We need to go into Syria and Iraq and kill as many IS members as we can. You can’t (*)negotiate with these people.

“This is not a war of choice. They are cash rich and have a plentiful (*)supply of arms. If we don’t go after them, they will soon come after us.

“In Iraq, Task Force Black was carrying out strike operations every night.

"It was an unrelenting, intelligence-led assault on al-Qaeda. It took a lot of hard work and no small amount of sacrifice – but it worked.

“Defeating IS cannot be done by air strikes alone. You have to get on the ground and take out the commanders – cut off the snake’s head.

“The organisation will then begin to collapse. IS targets civilians and has yet to get into a real fight with a (*)modern Western military.

“The SAS and US special forces will do untold damage to them.

“They’ll focus on the high command. This is going to be a long campaign, probably lasting years.

“And it will be like nothing the West has ever had to confront before.”

The new task force will comprise a squadron of the SAS, special forces aircrews from the RAF and agents from MI5 and MI6.

The operation will be led by America’s CIA spy agency.

One of the first jobs will be to identify the British Muslim shown on an IS video released last week apparently cutting Foley’s head off with a knife.

UK intelligence sources confirmed that the killer, believed to be a British-born Pakistani from London, is already at the top of a CIA “kill list”.

The bloodthirsty thug, dubbed “Jailer John”, was one of a brutal trio of Britons nicknamed “The Beatles” who guard IS kidnap victims.

Former IS captives said up to 20 foreigners are being held by IS.

The joint US/British unit will (*)conduct strike operations against IS in both Syria and Iraq.

Troops will also train Kurdish Peshmerga fighters.

Prime Minister David Cameron and President Barack Obama are determined not to send large numbers of ground troops, so the use of small teams of special forces working with local militias is their only option.

Downing Street has revealed that Britain will send “non-lethal” equipment including night-vision equipment and body armour to Kurdish fighters this week.

Work has already begun creating a network of spies and informers who will supply Task Force Black with (*)high-grade human intelligence.

British and US spy planes will eavesdrop on (*)mobile phone calls and pinpoint the location of IS commanders.

Operations will also be mounted to snatch middle-ranking IS commanders for interrogation by CIA analysts.

US Navy Seals showed that intelligence gathered over years can be used to mount a kill operation when they shot dead Osama bin Laden in 2011.

The new task force plans similar surprise attacks in which (*)sophisticated “silent” helicopters land troops.

The SAS, Seals and Delta Force worked together on many operations in Afghanistan and share intelligence.

One source said: “Intelligence will be key to our operations. We have to build a network to defeat a network.

"The brutal tactics of IS mean a lot of people want to see them gone.

“They have people fighting for them who are too frightened to leave.

"Young men joined IS believing they were fighting tyranny but what they saw was mass executions and beheadings.

“The CIA will offer them money and a new life – but they’ll have to deliver information first.”

There are also moves to revive a defunct Iraqi special forces unit called the Apostles, which was (*)created by the first Task Force Black a(*)fter the Iraq War.

Meanwhile Mr Cameron is under growing pressure over an alleged failure to deal with home-grown radicals.

Pictures of him surfing in Cornwall at the height of the crisis are said to have raised eyebrows even in his Cabinet.

Politicians of all parties urged action to stop radicalisation of young British Muslims and tougher restrictions on those (*)peddling extremist views.

And there were renewed calls for security services to get greater powers to monitor extremists online.

It emerged that recommendations to toughen controls made five months ago by David Anderson QC, the Government’s own adviser on terrorism laws, have yet to be acted on.

In another move, Lieutenant General Sir Simon Mayall, the Government’s senior defence adviser on the Middle East, is being sent to liaise with Kurdish commanders.

    ------------------------

All I have to say is: "Let the ISIS pants (*)(*)(*)(*)ting begin."

Seriously, I have all confidence these guys will tear ISIS a new (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*). Also Task Force Black is one of the most badass names for a group I have ever heard. Also, for those of you who don't know, Task Force Black operated in Iraq before. In 2008 they killed/neutralized over 3500 insurgents.

Great idea, lets spend a few billion to take out a dozen or so guys who will be replaced by the next hadji in line before we've even cleared the airspace.

The path to ultimate resolution in the middle east isn't a "cut the head of the snake" scenario, its a "nuke it from orbit" one.

Money and guns Obama gave them, its important not to forget that.

When did Obama give ISIS guns? He gave guns to rebels in Syria, and some of those might have been absorbed into the ISIS arsenal, but most of their equipment is from army bases they have taken over. Also they have money because they stole several hundred million dollars from Iraqi banks.

Not to worry, Obama will blow their operations. Just ask the survivors of Seal Team Six after they got Osama Bin Laden.

    You answered your own question.

ISIS got its American military hardware as a result of Obama giving it to Syria first, yes.

Obama was briefed about the very real probability that doing so would ultimately arm the wrong people, but he chose to ignore that advice.

And their large supply of money includes the $2 billion some odd Obama gave to the Muslim Brotherhood, a risk he was also briefed on.

So the question is was it Obama's incompetence, his arrogance, or his intent, that lead to ISIS having both US dollars and military hardware?

    We probably wont ever know.

Who knew sticking our noses in Syria's civil war, would have blow back.

It's like the leadership of this country never learns. Work with rabid dogs, and you eventually get bitten in the ass.

Let the Middle East wallow in the filth and misery that results from Islam. Let them see just how truly "peaceful" their religion really is. Maybe after enough beheadings and mass shootings the world will wake up and reject Islam as the violent, repressive religion that it is.

Cool! Everyone's favorite superhero teams joining forces to fight the forces of darkness. Super friends unite!

They need a better name than Task Force Black. That sounds pretty lame. Any ideas?

Turns out Putin was right. To contain ISIS the support should have gone to Abbas. This is often the reason why the US ends up supporting dictators, to suppress a greater evil.

Task Force Red White Black and Blue?

(I've reminded myself of some ice cream I saw in Mount Dora, Florida, the other day. It was Blue, Red, and Yellow, and the flavor was called Superman.)

JERUSALEM (AP) -- Israel's prime minister is trying to capitalize on the gruesome video of an American journalist's beheading by the Islamic State extremist group, saying Hamas is an equally vicious foe as he tries to rally international support in Israel's war in the Gaza Strip. But the comparisons between Hamas and Islamic State are being met with reservations by Israel's allies and enemies alike.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu always has prided himself on his ability to attract media attention. Netanyahu, who grew up in the U.S. and speaks fluent English, often uses catchy quips, props or visual aids in public speeches or briefings to journalists.

A day after the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS, posted the video of journalist James Foley's killing, Netanyahu debuted his latest catchphrase: "Hamas is ISIS. ISIS is Hamas." He voiced the slogan at a news conference, on Twitter and even at his weekly Cabinet meeting Sunday.

As Israel's military campaign against Hamas in Gaza nears its eighth week, Netanyahu is fighting an uphill battle for international support. While the international community generally supports Israel's right to defend itself against indiscriminate rocket fire, the world has grown increasingly uncomfortable with the scenes coming out of Gaza.

(Netanyahu was always an opportunist ass.......... How pathetic)

Where did they get the arms to take over military bases to begin with? Or do you think they just strolled out of Syria into Iraq and the Iraqi army just handed the weapons to them?

Strangely enough Obamas good friend Brzezinski was a major force behind that. Now that your deflection has fallen on its face do you care to discuss the topic?

So Hamas didn't drag people out of their homes, put them thru a show trial, accuse them of being collaborators, and gun them down in the street?

Ya, hamas isn't brutal at all.

Have you studied the Great Game and the Oil Corridor or the relationship between ENRON-Dabhol and the Taliban?

    - - - Updated - - -

They very well may have been collaborators.. Hamas has long been infiltrated by Israel agents... going back to the mid 1980s.

Sorry but the Taliban didn't arrive in Afghanistan until the early 90's, after the Soviet withdrawl. You wanna try again?
