ISIS has declared war and Obama says he out to destroy them---so it's a war no matter how hard you try to spin it. Foley and Sotloff have certainly been "scratched". How is one war "way better(lol) than another? War is war. We already have boots on the ground who are aiding the Iraquis. What if they are fired upon? They certainly have the right to defend themselves. For folks who say they are "peaceniks" you certainly seem "all in."

Iran was before my time as I joinded the Program in the early 1980's...but to be fair...although we and the U.K. made HUGE mistakes in Iran...we were trying to prevent ALL OUT GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR.

In 1983....my first JOB was to learn and study everything there was to know about Soviet Leader Yuri Andropov....a sick, dying and delusional man who told his personal aids...HE...wanted to go down in History as the Soviet Leader who destroyed the U.S. and NATO....as if he thought with over 70,000 Thermonuclear Warheads EACH....that either nation would win.

THAT...is why after that almost disaster and even though Reagan was in office and the Cold War was still in full swing....I was sent the Moscow and then Leingrad...now St. Petersburg again....so that a system of BACK CHANNEL COMMUNICATION could be developed to prevent misunderstandings.

Compared to what we were trying to prevent....WWWIII....Iran did not get the attention it needed and the Islamic Revolution began.
