Scientists Say They'll Have Cancer Cure in Next Year

Agreed, I don't buy the whole "treatment conspiracy theory". There aren't many disorders in the body that you can just use some pill or on/off switch to "cure".

Most things require lifelong treatment and I have a feeling cancer treatment may be it as well.

If the "cure" for cancer involves regular treatment in any way whatsoever; therapy, pill, treatments, surgeries; the conspiracy community will claim they are still right and it just shows that they "treat" it instead of "cure" it like there is an on/off switch.

If you talk to doctors about it, you get a pretty comical response. I have three including one who is an ER (pediatrician, podiatrist are other two) and they can go on and on about it at length.

With all the different types of cancer I doubt that ONE cure will address all of them. Something isn't right.

 

Indeed something is not right with this claim. The question is where does the fault currently lay. Are all cancers within the human body genetically identical, and thus can actually be treated in an identical manner? Are the sheer number of drugs currently utilized to treat cancer simply excessive and unnecessary? Or is this simply one more in a long line of empty promises intended solely to generate greater funding for what is ultimately a hopeless and futile prospect?

 

Can you imagine the environmental impact all the new cancer survivors will have on our fragile planet?

 

They already have the cure for cancer but it's not economically viable to release it.

They might try to buy the cure and suppress it. But there is an incentive to market it.

No reputable scientist would make such a claim, because any reputable scientist knows that there are many types of cancer, that cancers have different forms, so that not all lung cancer is the same, not all breast cancer is the same, and so on, and that cancers have many causes, including genetic, viral, physiological and environmental.

For example, 10% of the population, well, 10% of Caucasians, have been dying of lung cancer for 35,000 years or more. A particular gene makes people susceptible to it. It's not unlike a particular form of breast cancer, and there are many forms of breast cancer, that is genetic-based, and you can see where women in a particular family have been struck down by it generation after generation.

A year from now, you'll see that nothing has happened very slowly.

To which medical community are you referring?

What motive would non-profit cancer research facilities have to not find a cure?

Doctors, scientists and researchers are not motivated financially, rather they are motivated by fame and renown,to have their name live forever as the discoverer of a cure.

if it comes to fruition, it then has to be 'approved' by the fda in the good ol usa, then it'll be regulated, twisted and offered at a million dollars per dose, ergo ins carriers wont approve of its use because there are cheaper alternatives...

there are other treatments, worldwide, that arent allowed in the usa... yet we claim to be the best, freeist society...

 

There has never been a cure for cancer developed.

 

Cancer is cured every day. Some cancers have more than a 90% cure rate.
