Conservatives seek out & work at ways to divide us as a nation & as a people rather than try finding ways to unite us. They live & breathe a morbid, gloomy world view & try their very best to impose it over all the rest of us. In 2016, American voters fell for their morbidity. I sincerely hope 2020 is different.

Lots of Dems ideas run on the presumption that there is infinite resources which isn't the case. To give to illegal aliens is to take from the middle class. They talk about how it'll be from the rich but that too is a fantasy imo. If there so rich I'm sure they can get out of any tax by greasing the right palms in DC. So the line there human too and they can't die is nice but when you tax the middle class you've just taken some of their ability to feed and cloth them selfs and their children and in some instances may have played a part in an American citizens death. Virtue signaling gets you nowhere good

Why does it have to be an "either/or"? Why not care for both? We're supposedly the richest country in the world. Do we have to wait for another country, less wealthy than ourselves, to set the example for us?

 

I would like to see a "global" society, that respected each other as human beings rather than people with some nationalist pretext. The world around me isn't at that stage yet--may not be in my lifetime, but I do hope it will eventually. I think the Internet is moving us in that direction, especially the younger generations, who don't seem to share many of the prejudices of the older ones.

We are all one species, one race--the human race--and we all live on the same solitary oasis planet flying thru space. We need to start living with those truths, & each other, in a peaceful way.

 

The world is very triable.

The globalist and those who look upon themselves as internationalist are a minute minority in the world today.

Even the USSR who claimed they were internationalist and internationalist socialist were actually Russian nationalist.

The world (Earth) will always remain tribal until mankind finds a common enemy.
