    No need to be jumpy. I didn't say you mentioned the word "illegal". I simply asked you a straight forward question that actually does follow the discussion.

    So if it's not illegal, what is your problem with two leaders speaking the same language have an informal conversation at an open dinner??

    No, it doesn't follow the discussion that my post was related to. That poster said, and I quote, "This meeting was not secret nor uncommon." I asked for a link to back that statement up.

    In a summit where world leaders meet, it would be common, dare some would say expected to have world leaders meet. The claim this thread has made that it's uncommon. Burden lies with the OP, not the others.

    Can you please follow what I'm posting about when you insist on jumping in and quoting me? I never said anything about this being illegal. It isn't illegal, and it's a moronic deflection to bring that into the discussion.

    Now, if you have any evidence of other Presidents doing this, post it. If you don't, let the poster who made the claim post his.

Again to my post, I did accurately predict posters would offer a variety of nefarious motivations behind Trumps dinner conversation.     I'm not saying that having a meeting with Putin is illegal. Don't create a straw man.

    I said that with all the stories swirling around, it was bad optics and very bad judgement to speak with Putin for an hour without anyone else present. Nobody from his national security team, nobody from his administration, not even an American translator.

    Do you dispute that it was bad optics or bad judgement? Or do you just not care?
