I'm not sure why you want to derail your own thread, since the INF treaty is a topic deserving it's own thread, but Russia has already declared it's intention to withdraw from the INF treaty, effectively beating Trump to the punch.

In any case, Trump threatened to withdraw because the Russians have consistently been cheating on the treaty for years. So how does staying in a cheated on treaty help global security? It seems to me that just makes the world a more dangerous place.
