After the trial the correct procedure would be to sell off the guns and ammunition via a Federally licensed firearms dealer in a state where the laws are agreeable. But likely they will not do that. Typically, the best stuff will be scooped up by law enforcement. Anything of low quality will be destroyed at taxpayer expense.

 

None of us have all the details, but I suspect there's a lack of evidence.

The law enforcement said they found a small amount of drugs, so at the very least they will charge him with that.

Bulk magazines are what one should be wary of. If you have 50 magazines and two handguns you are a massive threat. Unfortunately it is trivially easy to make magazines. After all, at their core they're just a metal box with a spring inside.

His politics are odious as can be, fringe as, practically nobody supports a white ethnostate.

What concerns me is that he was in the coast guard. You can take the freedom of ordinary citizens but it's hard to see gun control in the coast guard ever being a thing. That would somewhat defeat the purpose.

Death penalty would be a bit much in my view, I'd say 25 to life ought to do the trick. One day, after many decades in prison he might come to the realization that he was an idiot of epic proportions.

 

Our prisons just serve to make people better criminals though.
