For all of you "founding father intent" conservatives....you know that thats how model of the original filibuster right ? So tis no "stunt", its how it was intended.

Manchin just loves to get the air time. He's a clown. We have a man who represents less than 1% of the population setting policy for the entire country

Sinema on the other hand os getting paid by someone.

It is not the filibuster we have now and any attempts to get around this will fail.

Another way to look at the filibuster is that it forces Congress critters to legislate towards the center and consensus.

Yet they are measurably moving apart and have been for some time now. I think both Gallup and Pew have some longterm data on this.

Yes they will. Because you cant change the filibuster on a simple majority.

Congress is broken. Plain and simple its broken.

I don't see that changing either, which makes the filibuster even more valuable in my estimation.

Just want to make sure Conservatives are aware...What is the current filibuster rule we have now? Do you think its current form represents the purpose?
I wanna see straight from the source that you trust. I just want to make sure you agree with it.

Last night I deleted a tweet because it was widely misinterpreted and distorted by conservative media. "Back of the hand" is an idiom for rebuke. I wholeheartedly condemn violence against women.

But directing violent rhetoric at women is perfectly okay, especially women he knows have been stalked and harassed by Leftist psychopaths.

What a perfectly vile and despicable little coward...

As Biden drives America toward collapse, Dems pursue their own political vendettas rather than their constituents interests.

Is America Heading for a Systems Collapse?

The ‘cabal’ that bragged of foisting Joe Biden on us must answer for his failed presidency.

291 days until this year's election!

    Not "OK".
One in his position needs to avoid even the appearance of impropriety.
It was an egregiously ill-advised tweet.
And, his attempts to walk it back (in "cover your ass" mode) seems very cynical.

Last night I deleted a tweet because it was correctly interpreted by many as my wanting women who disagree with me to be slapped. We all know that when I said she should get the backs of our hands, I meant what I said. I do apologize that yes, saying it means just rebuke her is a lame excuse, but it was the best one I could make up in such short notice. In my defense, I'm only 3'8" tall so I'm pretty sensitive about women disagreeing with me - because it's hard for me to give them the back of MY hands. That's why I use Twitter. I mean, one time I was on MSNBC and Rachel Maddow turned me down for a date. I was so upset I jumped up as far as I could but only managed to bite her ankles. In any event, I wholeheartedly support violence against women I don't like. #SupportTheFirstReich

They seem to be rather brainless on the situation. They talk about primarying these two out. In Manchin's case that is totally ridiculous. Manchin is a blue seat from a red state. Primary him out and you get a red seat. That is if you could even primary him out. Sinema's situation is more complex. She is a blue seat in a purple state. Yes, they might be successful in primarying her out but then that means in the general election you would have a progressive trying to win in a purple state. Probably not going to happen. In both cases, it is a case of be careful what you wish for.
