As for her being a Veteran, she violated her oath when she attacked the Capital Building. I hope she, and ever veteran that was there that day, lose all veteran benefits.

Was that a question? We've seen this far too often. This unarmed woman was murdered in cold blood by a bloodthirsty racist thug cop. And you support the racist thug cop, going as far as calling it a 'good shooting.' How can any shooting ever be called 'good' unless you have hate in your heart? But again, racism is all based on hate so I guess I can't say I'm surprised you would agree it was good that this unarmed woman got murdered.

 

They should be considered equally as seriously, and they're clearly not being considered that.

You should be outraged at the lopsided differences in the way the Capitol rioters are being prosecuted for going after the important people, while the rioters in cities such as Seattle and Portland are basically whisked through a revolving justice system door because they only went after a bunch of nobody American citizens.

#BLM is based on the fallacy that blacks are killed by police because police are racist and are part of a bigger racist system, to the exclusion of all other factors. That is, of course, a massive lie. Tens of thousands of peaceful interactions between African Americans and white police (without so much as a heated word) are ignored and buildings are burned when a black criminal is sadly killed for failing to comply with lawful orders of police as you agreed above is required.

Like the majority of people killed by police in America, Ashli Babbit was a victim of her own poor choices. Lt. Byrd was doing his job which was to protect the lawmakers inside the Capitol.

 

Personally I've had a pretty consistent rule for a long time: anyone trespassing, causing property damage, or being violent in a protest should be arrested, everyone else should be left alone.

Absent every individual in a group breaking the law, as happened on Jan 6, I am extremely sceptical of declaring a group a riot. As we saw over the summer, lots of journalists get caught up in riot charges, people who had nothing to do with it. It skirts too close to collective punishment for my liking.

I'm proud that this is something the left by and large agrees with me on. Nothing like a bit of cross-aisle comradery.

 

It wasn’t about subduing her. She was breaking through and that whole mob would’ve come along with her had she not been killed. That shot sent a message to the rest of the rioters and they backed off after that.
