He has a point. Even one of your leading liberal talking heads (Bill Maher: here and here) is out there saying that Democrats in general need to tone down the radical rhetoric because it drives ordinary voters into the arms of a Trump like figure.

And yet Dems couldn't even get all the Senate Democrats behind their abortion guarantee bill, so, maybe your claim that Dems have fashioned a position that reflects the majority, maybe needs a bit more fashioning in order to be true. Keep after it!

I think having more ordinary Democrats speak up and be heard, like Maher, would help Democrats center themselves.

Most Americans supporting reproductive rights such as women had enjoyed for nearly fifty years will insure that, eventually, the U.S. will restore that freedom, and again align with progressive, advanced democracies, rather than the authoritarianism of Iraq, Nicaragua, and El Salvador where abortion is also banned. In the meantime, Americans in retrogresive states will adapt.

No, they should not be punished. They shouldn't have even answered a question about abortion knowing abortion cases would certainly be coming before the Court.

Most Americans are between the extremes.

"Internationally, only seven countries allow abortion after the 20th week. While many countries have decriminalized abortion, most are closer to Mississippi than Michigan in limiting abortion to the first or second trimester."

True. Most Americans opposed the repeal of Roe v Wade. They supported it, and the the regulatory policies of other advanced democracies.

The recent retrogression in women's rights in the U.S. will be most harmful to poor women and Black Americans especially. Wealthier white women can more easily travel to advanced states.

That is why the rise in self-administered medical abortions is significant, and why Americans need to be vigilant regarding authoritarians resorting to further violations of personal privacy - internet communications and the postal service.

I would be fine with their impeachment and removal from the bench. Those who have observed this happened because RBG just refused to retire aren't wrong BTW.

Wray Admits The FBI Never Investigated Brett Kavanaugh Sexual Assault

Wray Admits The FBI Never Investigated Brett Kavanaugh Sexual Assault Tips

FBI Director Chris Wray admitted during Senate testimony that tips about Brett Kavanaugh and sexual assault were never investigated but instead given to Donald Trump.

Director Wray said, “I apologize that in advance that it’s been frustrating for you, we’ve tried to be clear about our process, so when it comes to the tip line, we wanted to make sure that the White House had all the information we have so when the hundreds of calls started coming in we gathered those up reviewed them and provided them to the White House without investigation.”

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) asked, “You reviewed them for purposes of separating from tip-line traffic but did not further investigate the ones that related to Kavanaugh, correct?

    Wray answered, “Correct.”

Sen. Whitehouse has been trying to get answers from the FBI for years about the sham investigation into the Brett Kavanaugh sexual assault claims. Thanks to Sen. Whitehouse (D-RI), the nation now knows that the FBI allowed the Trump administration to decide who could be questioned and what could be asked.

The investigation was a fraud. The FBI collected the tips and then handed them to Trump as he ran the “investigation” into his Supreme Court nominee. If it chose to do so, the Senate could open an investigation into the sham investigation and the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh.

When Trump and the GOP conned Brett Kavanaugh onto the Supreme Court, an injustice was done. A wrong was committed that deserves to be righted."

Again with this nonsense. They said exactly the same thing as every prospective justice since Bork. I cannot comment on cases that I might have to decide on later. Note Plessey vs Ferguson was settled law for for more than a a few decades before brown vs board o er turned that noisome pile of crap.

Agreed. However, the minority wants complete and total control because they are a dying white breed.

Republicans are all about conserving, and making dominant at all costs, white christian power. Nothing more.

No, Blue States just need to move on and leave the red states behind.

The SC has lost all credibility. We Blue States are already ignoring Federal Law.

Now Roe ISN'T the settled law of the land. SCOTUS deemed slaves were property in the Dred Scott decision and 10 years later they changed their minds.

Should the judges who decided slaves were human beings be considered liars too?
