Should Liberals be consided guests on PoliticalForum?

Many large forums as well as Social Media Giants are banning anyone who disagrees with Liberal agenda. NeoGaf which has 128 million messages is completely Liberal, on SDMB with 20.6 million messages non-Liberals do not last long, Something Awful which has 177 million posts has banned 11% of users -- anyone who is not Liberal. Social Media Giants like Twitter and Facebook are banning non-Liberals left and right.

Obviously, many Conservatives and other non-Liberals are coming to forums which do not ban them like PoliticalForum. Should this forum be considered primarily non-Liberal?

PS. I am neither Liberal nor Conservative. Like Liberals, I support Welfare State and ban of deadliest items like opioids and powerful weapons. Like Conservatives, I support Free Speech, Presumption of Innocence, and I am against reverse discrimination.

As a liberal I am not even sure what our agenda is...must have missed the last Illuminati meeting.

Non-liberals, who are pretty common on this board, can always go to Fox.

 

Seriously, Fox News does not own any Social Media -- like Forums.

 

Last time I looked the NY Times had a blog for discussions. I would be amazed if FOX does not have a similar site.

 

Hopefully they can start a Social Media site for an inflow of refugees from giants like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.

 

First let me say: I believe in Freedom of Speech and I think that the Moderators at PF do a fine job.

PF has a well-known reputation for tolerating the opinions of members of the RW (whose opinions would get them banned at most (if not all) other "politically-oriented" forums).

PF has a reputation (in RW Social Media circles) as a sort of online version of a Penal Colony (and refuge) for RWs who can't play well with others (at other forums).

PF is certainly much more tolerant of Conspratorial pro-Trump RW Fever Swamp Tinfoil Hat BS than pretty much any other "political" forum.

The RWs (who post at PF) are well aware that they can get their sort of RW Tinfoil Hat BS (that would get them banned anywhere else) left up at PF.

That is why, you have a more "Extreme" kind of RW at PF.

That is what happens when people banned everywhere else get a refuge.

Those RWs, looking for conflict (who proved, other places, that they can't function well with others), end up at PF.

Those are the FACTS.

Well Reputation and tolerance in association with THE RIGHT WING poster as you put it, pretty much says that complete bias is a strain at best, right I would have felt far more comfortable if you had been more inclusive of both parties equally, but at least by honesty or unwittingly you toss accuracy out there for all to consider

No. Conservatives are technically traditionalist liberals. They support liberty combined with personal responsibility.
Progressives are authoritarians, not liberals. There are liberals on the left but they are being pushed to the center by progressive fascists.
The people that ban others over anything outside of violent threats and blantant bullying and continual verbal assaults are authoritarians not liberals.

 

Conservatives are classical liberals economically. Gun regulation and abortion does not fit into that belief system one way or another at least easily. Burke and Adam Smith were not libertarians.

 

Progressives are not liberals. Its a mistake people have made thinking them synonymous. They used to be more closely linked but the difference becomes more and more obvious as progressives abandon their liberties for the sake of 'progress'.

 

If the forum starts banning Communists or Fascists they won't need to ban me. I'll leave.

The forum should be facilitating discussion among these groups. Even those who want door to door purges of the bourgeoisie. Even those who think the Jews control the world. Failing this results in these individuals never being exposed to criticism and festering on the dark.

The purpose of a forum is to facilitate discussion on difficult issues. The day that changes I'm out of here, and not a second later.

No you don't support free speech. You want to silence dissenting opinion just like those places you have mentioned (if true by the way, since you haven't given any evidence). Also, this forum is what the owner and mods decide it to be.

What the hell would be the reason to have a political forum if everything you read or wrote was "preaching to the choir." 99% of the time I agree with my fellow conservatives but it's that other 1% that at times gives me pause to think and maybe re-assess my position. I don't try and argue my case from what I may feel morally but what is Constitutionally the law. I enjoy good banter until it gets to the point of personal attacks and then I just move on. There are a few liberals on this forum I enjoy conversing with, and have even followed, because I enjoy their writing or sense of humor. I say let the liberals in and let us open there minds to the truth. lol
