Ah, the common excuse, limited offering at the local. How about the excuse of not enough competition??? Guess that comes when somebody finally points out the poor excuse for not shopping local.

But I digress, You say infrastructure is in place so you can accept more people into your community and welcoming immigrants would be easy… Mmm, sort of does not look like you thought your comment through here.

Yes it is true some are not well informed, but it is not common that you self-deprecate. You usually save that for those who do not agree with you. BUT since in your first comment you say that your shopping infrastructure is not up to scratch and that by growing the number of people in your rural township that it may grow the infrastructure to include 2 shopping majors… Umm, sort of proves the point doesn’t it??? I assume safely that you also suffer limited transport solutions. Just send those immigrants out and somehow they will suddenly be able to purchase and drive a car so no need for mass transit.

Frankly, just from your comment, the most ignorant on this issue turns out to be foolish enough to think their own personal account, of which shows the distinct lack of understanding of supporting their local economy, is the norm of the nation.

My father always said "never let an accountant run your business" I think you point that out eloquently.

Often local councils are made up of the small business in the town which has mixed blessings. They of course do understand the need to spend local. Generally they don’t understand the need to grow their community. Often they will impede threats to their own particular businesses but will lord business they think will not affect others.

Often due to their lack of understanding of their position, they will place far too much power into the hands of the general manager. This can often find some very dodgy practices of which the councillors know little or nothing about. Spread a bit of the prize and those who know will look the other way. It takes good community leadership and co-operative staff to grow a shire. Few I know of about but generally those who have community of people who just get in and do it, are the best.

As you see, not even one comment past and we have the epitome of what we talked about. One just shakes their head at the fools who pretend to be humanists while showing their complete lack of understanding.

Garry, the best for you and me, stay away from my arse, and I will stay away from yours.
Can we at least find common ground on that?

Why did you come back??? I would assume if you want to discuss issues you would address the points raised. All you want to do is insult but hey that is ok, I know you think it raises your standing...

You want common ground, START THINKING. don't just accept the party line, it hasn't come close to working for you yet.

    An even more ridiculous one.

How are you going researching whether it is legal for the Australian government to strip someone of their birthright and leave them stateless?

No, just answer my question or don't answer it - I don't GAF one way or the other, although if you fail to answer it my suspicion will be confirmed, viz. that you don't know their immigration status, and that you and your ilk might inadvertently be 'welcoming' jihadists or criminals or child abusers et al into your country. But hey, it's your country. [IMG]

And we could let in murderers, rapists, terrorists etc in from any country .What do we do, cut ourselves off totally, arm ourselves to the teeth ,sit around in our shelters and wait for Armageddon. There is already one country doing that.

But you don't do you, because they have ID so you're able to check on their citizen status before approving it. I don't really know where you're coming from? In fact I was tempted to write WTF!

And if you answer him this one he will ask whether your grandma was a pervert.
Doesn't matter what you answer him, he will look for something else to come up with.
I hate this demonizing of refugees and/or migrants.....

WHY do you hate them? Is it general dislike or hate or fear of Muslim?
Whatever we write, no explanation will make you happy.....

Why do I hate jihadists? Er, because they hate us? Is that good enough reason for you?? [IMG] I'm surprised you don't hate them too, but it takes all sorts . . .

    Hmmm,
anyone with a clear mind will hate jihadists, KKK members or other fricking weirdos.
My question was why do you hate Muslim in general?
And why do you believe that every refugee with missing papers is a jihadist?
I am not sure that you understand what a country looks like after it was flattened during a war.
Should these refugees bring also a CV?
Reading through your posts reveals something else, for whatever reason you just don't like Muslim in general....

You have a liberal mindset and I don't, and ne'er the twain shall meet.

My opinion of Muslims is that they're guilty by association, in that if it wasn't for them there would be no Islam. And before you explode with self-righteous indignation at a perceived slight against Muslims, let me clarify that by adding 'If it weren't for Christians there would be no Christianity, and if it weren't for Catholics there would be no Catholicism' In short, religions are the curse of mankind.

And if there were no Americans there would be a lot safer world but that would be a silly thing to say because there are some good Americans. So we should keep out everyone. There are more people killed by non Muslims so we keep out the Muslims and everyone else. I have never heard such rot. First we need to root out the source of the problem. The USA.
