Remove about 20 cities and our gun violence rates are below most other 1st world countries. Including a few that have outlawed private ownership of guns.
One huge problem with the stats. It's the European Union today not the former sovereign nations that use to exist in Europe.

When population is taken into account, which is the correct way to measure such, France has had way more mass shootings than the U.S., in fact a French citizen is over a hundred times more likely to be killed in a mass shooting then an American.
One of the authors of the article is a well respected and well qualified researcher who saw his own funding dry up due to NRA meddling. So I think he does know what he's talking about from firsthand experience. Promoting gun control and doing legitimate research are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Suppose a study revealed the fact that people who pack heat are more likely to be shot. It could be argued that that study promotes gun control. Putting restrictions on what conclusions a study can come to is totally unreasonable but that's the way the NRA wants it. They don't want research which could result in many lives being saved to interfere with gun industry profits. I bring it up as a response to your cherry picking. The gun apologist "more guns fewer gun deaths" talking point gets tiresome.
We lead the world in using the internet to actually find out about other countries instead of making rubbish up from misremembered claptrap
Apologies - I must have been in a hurry and did not look past your first link - but your second link was even more interesting because it did not exactly prove your point. What it was, was a grizzle about how accurate one researcher was You may not have the most but you are a long long way from having the least and that is not something to be proud of
No one is preventing the CDC from doing the research except the CDC themselves. Mark Rosenburg even said so in 2016. ------------------ https://www.thetrace.org/2016/04/cdc-gun-violence-research-dickey-amendment/ “It was the leadership of CDC who stopped the agency from doing gun violence research,” Mark Rosenberg, a founder of the CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, the division of the agency responsible for its work on the subject, tells The Trace. “Right now, there is nothing stopping them from addressing this life-and-death national problem.”
They stopped because of the fear that more funding would be withdrawn Or do you have documentary evidence to the contrary??
So??? The only places in the world that have higher levels of mass shootings than the USA are A) third world countries with more poverty than governmental oversight and B) active war zones
All they had to do was not "advocate or promote gun control" and they could have done all the research they wanted.
Again - how do they do that without biasing results? You might do research into how many home invasions are thwarted by guns only to find that the rate of accidental family shootings far outweigh the number of invaders shot - what do they do then? Do they suppress the research findings? Alter the research findings What??
Then obviously he was either not doing his so-called "research" appropriately, or he was associating with those who did not. Except for the simple fact that they indeed are. Because the study would do absolutely nothing to separate and distinguish between those who legally carried a concealed firearm, and those who illegally carried a concealed firearm and could not legally possess a firearm under any circumstances. Arthur Kellermann refused to exclude those engaged in illegal activity from his supposed "study" even though he admitted that those engaged in illegal activity were more likely to be shot than those not engaged in illegal activity. As does the constant rehashing and repeating of these blatantly false talking points on the part of yourself, with the same topic being used for creating a new thread every few months. This is not the first time such a thread of discussion has been created on the part of yourself, and it will likely not be the last either. Three months, six months, or one year from now, the exact same discussion will be had, with no variation to be found.
Totally incorrect, as I already explained to you France has a rate of mass shooting considerably higher then the U.S., you know that to be a fact yet, you continue to lie about mass shootings in the U.S. in order to continue to promote your false narrative.
Where is the capital of the third world ? Los Angeles, California. What makes a country third world ? Third world people. How many third world people are now living in the United States today ? Way to many. Why are there so many third world people in America ? The Immigration Act of 1965, the Democratic party, no wall on the border and Presidents not upholding the oath of office and enforcing our immigration laws. But it'snot third world people who are committing the mass shootings in America. It's millennial snowflakes who are committing most of the mass shootings.
Apparently you folks don't learn much from all that searching, like the difference between your privileges and our rights. Stop exporting hate and murder, then come talk to us...
