    But if an unorganized militia organizes, does it still have value as an organized militia? If a bunch of good ole boys organize, is it an organized militia? And if those same guys remain disorganized... can they get together and hit target consistently?

    It's not up to me to judge the value of the unorganized militia. I would love to see it mustered periodically for training, though. Those with the proper rifles can shoot Uncle Sam's ammo all weekend. The others can dig fighting positions and empty field latrines all weekend.

    I Commanded a Basic Training Company at Ft Leonard Wood and years later another BCT Company in Iraq as a contractor. Cadre is a wonderful job.

    do you know what is real insanity? claiming that gun control laws will deter someone who is not concerned about the consequences of committing armed robbery or premeditated mass murder
