Yet you claim that tariffs won't drive Chinese manufacturers out of our markets?
That's why the business taxcuts were passed first. Yes, some of that now is going to come back to the US Treasury in the form of Chinese tariffs but you were butthurt over them anyway. We already send US Farmers a ridiculous amount of money, if htey need more because of tariffs, I'm sure we will give it to them.
US inflation is well under control.

The clowns always predict disaster with Trump and yet he has doubled GDP growth, smashed wages through near decade ceilings and lower the rate of rise of the Federal Debt. It's nice to finally have a President working for the American Worker!

You need much more than that one post, perhaps a real education would serve you some good. But you've been convinced its *gasp* leftist indoctrination.

Yes, just worship the authority figures and play make-believe that they know more about your own business than you do. All hail the Nanny State. "They must be right because they are getting away with it" isn't a great argument.

I'm not predicting disaster. I'm "predicting" that artificially raising the costs for doing business is counter-productive.

Psst, when Trump was on the campaign trail defending tariffs, he relied solely on a leftist economic think tank. Conservative economic think tanks are generally against protectionism.

    I've never made that claim.

You say that as if government bailouts to save businesses from the mess the government has created is a good thing. I don't share that belief.

The guy who was saying that losing the Chinese market on soy beans would not change demand right before posting a chart of falling soy bean prices due to a drop in demand.

And also spoke to China's currency manipulation, copyright and unfair trade.. But did you hear any of that, nope, we can tell :)

Heard those parts too and agree, broadly speaking, agree with the first two. China has been known to manipulate its currency in the past (which is why it is too early to celebrate them doing so now) and it abuses intellectual property. As far as "unfair trade" goes, that can mean many things. Trump often uses the phrase to complain about inequality of outcome -- trade deficits, a concept he doesn't even understand in the first place.

It's not the system I prefer, I think rather than our farm subsidies we should take a serious look at Canada's protection system. They produce top quality goods and their producers enjoy nice incomes. Canadians pay more for their food, but they don't spend a dime on subsidies.

Do you know how much milk American Dairy Farmers pour out on the ground?

In 2016 American Dairy Farmers poured out 43 MILLION gallons of milk onto their fields. So don't pretend we have anything even close to free market food production in the US. You know how much milk Canadian Farmers poured out? ZERO! Are you really going to argue that our system is more efficient than theirs?

So, if Farmers need more support under the current system, I'm sure they will get it.

Yes, I'm familiar with the, "We don't have market anarchy, so let's make the market even less free for some reason" argument. It is just that it is silly.

Well I'm never gonna be impressed by some intrawebster that's idea of leisure and advanced political knowledge is finger stamping a key board and thinking they have any first hand idea of the inner working of the U.S. economy or trade negotiation..

Then again I'm not a starry eyed leftist that has been manipulated to believe they have been well informed on all matter Governmental either :)

You are also arguing that pitting our workers against essentially slave labor and little environmental policy is "natural".

Should our producers be able to import slave labor and work without environmental regulation?

See you are all for market interference, until it benefits the American Worker.

Who are you quoting? In our Republican system we have sensible regulation and we have duties and tariffs. If you don't like that, you are welcome to move.

Your way destroyed US manufacturing, and led to stagnant wage growth for The American Worker.

What does or does not impress you is irrelevant. If you'd like to engage in debate and discussion, well, that's what the forum is for. If you'd rather troll, well, there's that too. But I will sit back and enjoy the irony of complaining about the lack of "first hand" knowledge while defending the idea that the Government knows these businesses better than those who are working them first hand. Fun stuff.

Then why are you defending leftist protectionist economics? But thank you for the straw man. I'm sure I'll cherish it always.

Increasing the cost of doing business and reducing markets does not benefit the American worker. It results in fewer American jobs.

And we have tons of non-sensible regulation, duties, and tariffs.

I always loved the intellectually dishonest "If you don't like policy X, then move." Please keep pretending there isn't a single policy in the US that you have a critical opinion on. Please. It practically tickles.

It irrelevant to you just as your rhetoric is to me :) Only thing I have on my side is irrefutable numbers of Mr. Obatard time in office and Mr. Trumps numbers after two years..

Thing are better to day :)
