Mexicana Grill is good. Pop's Burger Stand is good if you want a burger. There are a lot of good places around the square.

no but these new businesses are being advertised a lot now, if it comes from a local farm that would be good, is the food processed for shipment, or with GMO? thanks.

Don't eat French Fries.Just finished my yearly viewing of :
    - A Panic in Needle Park - { 1971 } which starred a very young and
cocky Al Pacino { never married }. He is seen often at his meeting place
{ a local diner } where he brags to his new girl about her French Fries.
    " Aren't you gonna eat your French Fries ? { prounounces funny }
Then explains how he grew-up on French Fries.
Fried food are just bad for ya.Again ... I'm not in agreement with
Christie Brinkely who said she hasn't eaten meat since age 12.
First of all ... That sounds stupid.Yer Parents decide When and
What you eat.No way would my Old Man { Loved his meats } put up with
that.Plus he was Real finicky about the way his steak was cooked.
It had to be Rare.Blood rare.My Older brother followed exactly in my old
Man's footsteps.Eat meat virtually every night and it had to be purple
and thumping.I like my meat medium or Pink. With some juices flowing.
But I have to admit ... Christie Brinkley looks in her 20's.
But she's a female prick when it comes to food.Be a real hoot if it
turned out she also lives for her French fries.Raw,of course. With just a
sprinkle of uppity stuff like fresh this & that.

I don't know about the GMO's but everything is fresh. They send with ice packs, it isn't frozen, everything is nice and cold. I haven't been disappointed with any meals they have sent. I didnt fix the meal for today because I wasn't in the mood for Mexican food, suppose to be stuffed poblano peppers. I will have to say the peppers look better than the ones in the grocery store. They send all the spices and condiments, so nothing is wasted. At present time it is a novelty and the new may wear off.

You might want to try Green Chef I think that is the right name. It is organic and you can also get vegan meals.

Which is why NutriSytem is kind of a joke. It's like buying those plastic
carton meals on the shelves that are sealed and you microwave.
Microwaving meals in plastic is not cool. Plastic is not all the same.
Plastic is basically a combination of synthetics that come from petrochemicals.
You don't know what effect heating that plastic container will do.
Plus those meals are not fresh. There are healthy refrigerated shrink wrapped
stuff that is healthy.Just like canned items. The lining of most cans of beans
contain a resin that leeches a toxic chemical BPA into the food.

The food is fresh, probably as fresh as you get in the grocery store, might be fresher. I like it because planning meals gets tiresome.

I like fries made from fresh potatoes, Foolie. So many places use frozen 'minced' potatoes, its good to find the real thing. :)

Go see the movie GET OUT so we can talk about it. Id like to hear your thoughts.

What Food is Fresh.? Not Nutrisystem. Nutrisystem is simply an outlet
that contains or restricts calories. You don't need NutriSystem just because
some Jock { Dan Marino } swears by.
Dan Marino also lost most his net worth in stock speculation.

McDonalds used to cut their own French Fries. They've been frozen since the
1970's. But they tasted better in the 70's because they used Beef fat shortening.
They moved to all vegetable shortening a couple decade ago.
But it's still a must to make sure and use Shortening that is not old or
broken down.Meaning Old Shortening that is not replaced breaks down and
leeches into the fries as they are cooked and end up more grease than anything
else.Pus the temperature of the Fryer has to be just right.Have a lazy store Mngr.
who doesn't check the calibration of his equipment { Fryers & Grills } and the
product suffers.Meaning the Customer pays the price.
Most McDonald's customers never complain about their French Fries.
The only complaint heard is Too much salt.Even that is dopey.
Because there is no quality control as to amount of salt used.At best a store
will tape the inside of the salt shaker so less salt is dispensed.

The storage drawer on the bottom of most folks' stoves that they have full of pans isn't really supposed to be a storage drawer. People just use it for that. It is actually there to help keep your main courses warm while you prepare the side dishes, but can also be used as a proofing drawer. Just thought I'd let you know that you are doing life wrong...okay I use it to store baking sheets too, but do as I say, not as I do.

Only on some newer stoves. And when using the oven.
Plus new stoves like Sansui Smart TV's have spy capability.
I warned of this a couple years ago.General Petraeus went public
about it .In 2012 when Petraeus was the CIA Director he warned
of " the rise of smart gadgets" .Which meant " Americans are effectively
    bugging their own homes ".

" Mass surveillance " or Private surveillance.Or Individual or Select surveillance.
What is this some Commercial.Spying is Spying.Gettin' bugged is getting bugged.
I don't care if at the Barber Shop or Farmer's Market. At the local discount
shoe store or Macy's. This is not the 50's. Where average Americans worried about
the Bomb and them Russians spying on us.Civil Defense drills at all the schools
    in the 60's.
That was Then ... This is Now.
Get with the Now ... already.
I don't care if Dick Butkus butch haircuts come back in style.
Chances are more chicks are likely to have them.
    Dig Daddio ?

If it concerns you that much, why are you on the internet? Someone somewhere is capable of knowing something about you simply because you referenced a very old former football player by name.

Morning (or whatever the hell time it is). I agree with Deckel, once you log onto the internet, your expectation of privacy is zero. Unless one is a drug dealer or hiding from the law, who cares? If they get bored enough to watch me thru my Samsung refrigerator, we need to shut down em down.. waste of resources.

Cloudy and cold in Big D today. And Im still mad about losing that hour. *grumble*

The attraction is not having to plan meals. If a little elf came in and planned my meals, I would cook them.

It is turning cold and damp, oak tree pollen has me in a foul mood too...allergies. Geez.

Um ... does Home Chef know you are talking about his food.
BTW ... when does it stop being his Food. When you purchase it
or when Home Chef got married.

Alright People of the Strange Brews.....Its Monday Monday. But not so good to see here. We are getting hit with 2-5 inches of Snow and then tonight they are saying 6-10 by Tuesday morning. I knew Old Man winter wasn't done with Mother Nature. Maybe if she would have kept those heels on. He wouldn't be so ornery.
