Can you make it a little earlier--say 4am? I need to be in the indoor pool at 5:30am. But have no fear. I will be here when you return.
    I hate snow.

So then Leaves Do have a Life.I dread to think what
those who aspire for a Reincarnation afterlife must ponder.
Could I end up as a reincarnated fallen autumn leaf.
Or merely a banned poster in PF Purgatory.

Well, you could step into a church and "pretend to pray" for an answer. Or just move to L.A.

All the leaves are brown and the sky is grey
    I've been for a walk on a winter's day
I'd be safe and warm if I was in L.A.
California dreaming on such a winter's day

Don't forget how Scout { Mary Badham } dressed for
Halloween. Her costume was a thick tree.
That would be Robert Duvall's { Boo Radley } Film debut.
    or :
    - To Kill a Mockingbird - { 1962 }
I wonder what a Mockingbird feels like when all the leaves
    are fallen.Every single one.

Read the rules a few times. It is not too tricky unless you start new threads. Read very carefully before you do that.

I did read them, but it was kind of confusing. Can I post the rules here that confused me? Or is that a no no?

Personal attacks and insults are not tolerated here. When replying to a post, your own post must be about the post to which you are replying, not the poster themselves. Any personal remark about another poster that - in the judgment of a moderator or administrator - could reasonably be regarded as an intentional insult in the context of that discussion will be subject to infraction. Please also keep in mind that simply saying something that's not very nice is not necessarily an insult, nor does the fact that you are offended necessarily mean that you have been insulted.

The rules regarding personal attacks extend not only to individual posters, but to groups as well. For example, calling all Republicans idiots is the same as calling every Republican on the board an idiot, and will not be tolerated. A certain amount of latitude may be granted in discussing the policies and the practices of a political party or other political organization, but posters should be advised that this is thin ice, and be cautious about making remarks that personally insult the members of such parties or organizations. And again, simply saying, "I hate Republicans" does not constitute an attack or an insult against Republicans. "I hate Republicans because they are corrupt" is an attack, because it is attacking the character of all Republicans.

The part that really confuses me is the "saying something no necessarily an insult" yet...is construed as an insult and I get in trouble. And the last two sentences above.

I think they are trying to discourage the use of ad hominem attacks because they make rational discussions difficult.

Definition of ad hominem (free dictionary)
    • 1 : appealing to feelings or prejudices rather than intellect
    • 2 : marked by or being an attack on an opponent's character rather than by an answer to the contentions made
It is not too hard avoid them. Concentrate on ideas and try to avoid insulting individuals, especially those who favor us with their opinions on this forum.

For instance, while I think both political parties are corrupt, and it is easy to find the evidence of their corruption, most Republicans and Democrats are good people. I suggest you try to avoid generalizations and whenever you can be more specific. I can't think of any human institution that has not been plagued by some level of corruption. Get to the details.

I have become rather fond of most of the people here that I disagree with. I rather admire anyone willing to test their ideas on an open forum. Which is not to say that many are not often very unhappy with my posts, but they rarely attack me personally.
