    Jerky gives me diarrhea.

There is nothing worse during a watch than diarrhea.

    Same problem with trail mix.

So I avoid jerky and/or trail mix on watch.

    Cute moniker -- Mary Superior.

I take it you are a Nun at a local cloister with a computer and internet access.

    Miracles never cease.

I am like the archangel St. Michael with his sword who protects Catholics and non-Catholics alike from robbers and psycho serial killers.

I am really hungry for a steak broiled in the oven to perfection until you can cut it with a fork.

Today is my Saturday. I have today off. I worked yesterday and I will be working tomorrow and Sunday on your weekend -- which is not my weekend.

So today I need to run errands to get foot powder, groceries, pay my credit card at the bank, and get gasoline for the coming week.

For groceries I will include a thick T-bone steak that I will roast when I get home.

I'll stir fry fresh cut asparagus in butter with it.

I also need potatoes. I'll make some potato pancakes to go with it.

Potato pancakes can be eaten alone for breakfast or as a side dish for lunch or dinner. The Europeans eat these a lot. While I was living over there as a kid I learned that. They even put gravy over them. I prefer catsup or A-1 Sauce over them instead.

No alcoholic beverages however until the sun goes down. That's rule #1 for drinking alcohol of any kind -- none allowed while the sun is shining nor after midnight either.

Alas, I was unable to locate the recipe. Not to fear though, I scoured the internet and came up with a close approximation (I think). One caveat . . . she never used measuring cups or spoons. Everything was a "guess-timate." Enjoy.

    Ingredients:
8 slices bacon, strips cut up
    1 large onion, chopped
1 lb smoked Polish sausage, cut into 1/2 inch slices
2 lbs medium red potatoes, cut into chunks
1 (10 ounce) can cream of potato soup, undiluted
1 cup sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
    1⁄2 cup water
    1⁄4 cup cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper

    Directions:
Cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove and drain.
Sauté onion in the drippings for one minute.
Add sausage, cook until lightly browned.
Add potatoes, cook 2 minutes longer.
Drain. Transfer to a 3 quart slow cooker.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
    Pour over sausage mixture.
Cover and cook for 5-7 hours on low until potatoes are tender.

    Serves 8 . . . 4 if they’re from Wisconsin

this could serve as an effective deterrent for oppressed thieves, but i think you want to surprise them with a lawful execution.

it is not insane to allow the ignorant the mercy of ignorance.

making them aware of santa's lap with no way of stopping it is more sadistic than santa himself. this is driven by emotion, they only make it appear they are tactical to satisfy selfish anger.

it is a bitter pill to swallow for the children of mr. and mrs. clause, but forgiveness is the only rational avenue.

"Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win. Variant: Thus it is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory."

I will use any leaves except walnut. I chop up leaves with my lawnmower. They are a perfect additive for the garden. If you use a thick mulch instead of tilling ...the increased production may surprize you. We still have lots of produce. A lot may go to the animals before its over. Just about any organic matter will work as mulch.

I planted some greens with the hay that my neighbor gave me. I hope the leaves I want to replenish the mulch with will work as well as the hay.
Why will you not use walnut leaves?

Hmm ... need it be remined that the War On Christmas
was ended a couple years ago..Bill O'Reilly was instrumental
in trying to overcome the prevailing Anti-Christmas sentiment
at the time.Where stores { Wal*mart included } were severely
pressured to NOT say - Merry Christmas - { all employees }.
That sad sack period of Americana was put to rest, hopefully
    for a very long time.

    Thankfully Algernon Charles Swinburne { English poet }
    may have been joshing with his last line of - Dolores - { 1866 }
" Come down and redeem us from Virtue, Our
    Lady of Pain. "

Thank God ... Santa ain't No Lady.

How confused you must be.Philosophy is the Study of Life.
George Soros is a Study in brute Power.Control at the point
of overt brinkmanship. He also helped the Nazis round of his fellow
Jews during WW II. The guy is truly sick with power on his mind, constantly.
