I don't remember what year I was last bit by a mosquito.

Today being Sunday I will stay home and work at my desk on my computer.

Not quite as lazy as @Smartmouthwoman 's azz but along the same lines.

 

That happens to me at least once or twice during each graveyard shift.

Some sites are worse than others. It all depends if there is a lot of standing water nearby for the mosquitoes to breed in.

I wear long sleeves and gloves and a hat with a bug net and spray all with repellant.

But even then 1 or 2 seem to bite me.

Having fresh sweet corn a d fresh tomatoes makes it worth it....at very little cost except labor.

 

Corn husk....goat feed....pea hulls....goat feed....bad tomatoes....chicken feed. Goat poop....fertilizer. ....chicken poop....fertilizer.

there is a meat eater and plant eater contest presently going on.

i think the meat eaters are winning as meat withdrawal is a very real and painful thing. some people abstain from all the pleasures of the flesh, sugar, protein, and relations, they are truly gods among men.

 

Eat like a rabbit, fck like a rabbit, I always say. Well, not really. I'm ketogenic so I'm a meat eater. But I eat enough vegetables to keep a small farm busy. You'd need God's Little Acre to keep my fridge full.

I keep a large salad ready to go at all times now: Spinach, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onions - all super foods. Add some cheese along with vinegar and oil [no trans fats and high in Omega-3s of course!] , and some spices, and you have a sex salad ready to go.

 

I seldom get bit by mosquitoes, my wife on the other hand, they try to fly off with her.

 

I have a similar complaint by my wife. I suggested it had something to do with the type of deodorant or shampoo she used but after reading the link below, it might be CO2 or heat.

I’ve heard CO2 as well. Also heard lacking vitamin B-6 could cause it. I think they just don’t like hops.

Once again, your classification as a secretor or non-secretor is determined by your biology and there isn’t anything you can do to put yourself in the non-secretor category.

• Blood type – Depending on the type of blood you have, you secrete different scents. Studies have shown that mosquitoes are most attracted to Type O blood and least attracted to Type A. No changing your blood type either.

• Lactic acid – Lactic acid is emitted through your skin when you are active or eating certain foods. Mosquitoes are more attracted to people with a greater build-up of lactic acid on their skin. You can reduce lactic acid by washing with soap after exercising and thoroughly drying.

Onions are No super food.My Proof.Onions given to a dog or cat
will make them sick.Then again so will chocolate which we now know
in strong percentage 50% cocoa or more is very beneficial.
I gave up buying an Onion years ago.However I still have them when
I buy Creamed Herring in a jar.
We have also learned than lectins are the true enemy of Man.
Tomatoes are loaded with lectins.As are Beans and many nuts.
So I have discontinued buying tomatoes.
Beets are the new discovery.But they smell god-awful and taste
terrible.

 

You do realize certain foods/liquids will be excreted through the pores on your skin, and some may be tantalizing to the skitters.
