    I think it's the wood surrounding the lead. It has that texture that you can just sink your teeth into.

    Ahhh worked on base over night prepping reports. Just got home about 30 min ago. Took the dog out. I'm really tired but I have to be back on base in a few hours. GOING TO SLEEP :)

    Just got back to the Portland operating center. Had to use the company car to go get coffee. It was the only reasonable action to take, because the other option is the vending machine.

    Now, I'm waiting for the big presentation, that will explain how the new pay package is gonna make us all rich.

    We're just paid labor, the ordinary workers who make everything run, the people who do all the producing, the no-status grunt workers, the ones under all of the thumbs, the lowest of the low on the totem pole, the ones who make it possible for the rest to even have a job, we're those under-appreciated folk who make the existence of the company possible, the ones who fix and cover for all the screw-ups made by management, the ones who take the heat from the customers when the screw-up is so bad that we can't fix it, the ones that it all rolls downhill upon.











    (there will be no donuts)

    I look at it as somewhat of a balanced scale... without the workers, there is no product, but without (some) management, there would be no company for the workers to produce at. Symbiotic relationships.

    While some things roll downhill, there are also a number that role uphill. While I wouldn't want the producer's job, I know they sure wouldn't want mine.

    All in all, enjoy your coffee. :)
