Kristy Kreme donuts give me heartburn. They always look fresh.
But must be loaded with syrupy greasy sugars.
I don't think donuts are that bad.Cops live off them. But then a lot of
    cops are obviously overweight.
Just bought a COP TV series that I ordered at Barnes & Noble.
The gal who took the order never heard of :
    Cagney & Lacey
Golly ... surprise surprise surprise !!!.

Again ... That Smell permeated the entire Kitchen and on into
the Bedroom areas. My Mom like most moms of her Era had Cooking
tools.Like one them Meat grinders you crank by hand.I think she added
the Spam to some other meat. But I could be wrong.Spam looks terrible.
It's got that porky pink look.Like what Bob Evans arms looked like.
    I doubt a pack of Hyena { Like to wait until their catch rots enough }
would fool with my Mom's leftover Ham Casserole.

My bro & sil were lake people and spent every weekend water skiing and camping out. I was about 10 and often tagged along. Sil made sammiches that tasted a lot like deviled ham and the best sand tart cookies ever. Found out later she ran spam thru a meat grinder and mixed in a little Miracle Whip and voila.. mighty tasty picnic food!

I've never been a picky eater. Don't like mushrooms or oysters, but will at least try anything. :knifefork:

We dont normally eat quiche but tonight is leftover night until I stock up at the grocery store.
Im trying to cut out the wheat we eat so I made some hashbrown potatoes and used them for the crust. I had some steak sandwich left over so I cut it in small pieces. Poured some eggs whisked with milk and cheddar cheese over the steak and hash browns and its baking now.
Im all set for the 'Whats this' question. Its steak, eggs, cheese and potatoes in a bowl. I think as long as I dont call it quiche it will be good to go. lol

Gee I gotta tell ya.Never heard of that.Spam with maple syrup or Milk.
Ain't that nearly hazardous fir one's health.
I once heard one of my Buddies who lived on a baby farm
{ small farm under 10 acres } which happens to be most Farms
in Germany explain how this One guy who bought slaughtered cattle
and who was one them crazy german farmers, used to drink a little
of the slaughtered cattle warm blood. There might have be a term for it.
The Old Soviet Union to offer Cattle Blood Nutrition bars.Called
    Hermatogen.
    Not to be confused with Martha Raye { Named " Big Mouth " }
who had 7 husbands and once claimed had an Iron stomach { could
drink anything }.However educated she was NoT.
" Had so little formal education, her scripts had to be read to her ".
But One hell of a broad and true gutsy American.
Was an Honorary Green Beret for her service in Vietnam w/o fanfare
and known as " Colonel Maggie " when things got bad in Special Forces
A-Camps.A real Trooper.Salt of the Earth.
She was born backstage at a local Vaudeville theatre.
Gave a good portion of her estate to PETA.
Was a Lifelong Republican and " solid supporter of Richard Nixon

I also eat anything somebody is nice enough to cook for me. Always wished I had a wife to cook & clean & run errands, but all I've had are hairy-legged men who expect ME to do all that!

LOL, not complaining, mind ya. Nowdays I have help with the cleaning & errands... and only cook when I feel like it. Not a bad deal. ;)

Um How bout when a nice polite Korean family moves in across the\
street and makes a visit with a nice couple mason jars of almost fresh
    Kimchi
Keep in mind Kimchi is not eaten fresh. It is stored in a jar and
    left to marinate or ferment.

    Casual Chat today ,Ma.?
Don't be silly,Billie. That's just as much hype as most TV commercials.
    What does " hype " mean,Ma.?
It means you best eat all those veggies on yer plate tonight,
unlike last night.Where you tried to sneak under the dinner table
some of your broccoli to the dog.
But ma,the dog dint like that Broccoli either. In fact he ran off as if
    to do number 2.
Be that as it may,Billie, you need vegetables for a strong body and
    for brain food.
What kinda food,Ma.? You mean like them Spam sandwiches you used
to done fix me for school until the Principle found out and banned.
No more brown bagging it Ma.But I think it had to do more with the
smell. It was interfering with our lessons.
    What lessons were those Billie.?
The ones where you best lesson up well or you'll
end up being a Garbage man or work at a car wash.
Or end up like Pa,with a nice job but needs to brown bag it on account
    he wants a Boat.
What's this about a Boat.Billie.You father never said dime one to
    me about some Boat.
Yeah, well he also never said anything about what he does with those
brown bag lunches of yours, either Ma.
    What you talkin' bout Billie.?
    Nuthin,Ma.Not a doggone thing.Is all.

I made hamburgers night before last. Each had a half pound of 94% lean grass fed ground beef . It was far too much food and I was in bed snoring not long after, but they were pretty good. To offset my gluttony, all I had last night was a steamed artichoke. How can so much wind be packed into a little thistle?

Drinking warm blood from a fresh kill is something other people do.

I was sitting here thinking, would I ever drink warm blood.
    Im really thirsty? No.
Im in a group of people who are drinking warm blood and its their culture to offer it to me? No thank you.
The only scenario that comes close, that I could think of, would be to put whatever the warm blood was in to my lips, make it spill down my chin all over me with a death stare to go with it. While I zero in on the person I intended on scaring the living **** out of.

Martha Raye, a blast from the past. Very cool.
I was watching some Martha Raye youtube video after you mentioning her. I thought she was a comedian. I didnt realize she sang also. I also didnt know she dedicated so much of herself to the troops and the USO.

The day that started the trend convincing men to shave themselves like Olympic swimmers, was the beginning of the end.

    I think I could have majored in hooky at U D { University of Dayton }
rated the best Party college by Playboy magazine in 1970.
Dayton University was a Catholic University BTW.

The University of Dayton is a really good school. I didnt realize it was a party school until you said it was.

    Catholic girls are quick learners.

    Warm blood, the Highlander Cocktail.

"[T]he Highlanders would take some blood from their cattle, and use it for food... "

This diet produced a group of people who were much stronger, much larger, and much healthier than most other Europeans. Their incredible vitality was not always stopped by age. One Highlander became famous in England when he enlisted in a Highland regiment at the age of seventy, and fought in the French and Indian War, becoming famous for his prowess with the broadsword, when he led small parties of men into the thick brush to hunt down enemy sharpshooters."

Indeed brother.. I sometimes buy a few dozen and they don't last a week ( they freeze well, and all you do to thaw them is leave them out for an hour)
