I had me a pack of rubbers { condoms } in me wallet as a kid.
Most kids from the 50's had.It was some sort of young male
right of passage.Never actually amounted to mush.
Unlike the Mush fed to the Little Rascals at the Orphanage.
    Not that meant everything.I think the Little Rascals { Our Gang }
were the Youngest Protestors in the history of America.
    Bless their Hearts.
One can learn a lot from Little Rascals. Not so sure about message
    board posters.

All lamps have 2 USB charging ports and the water valves have been converted to light switches.

I'd like to have one of those old phones. Are rotary phones still compatible with modern phone systems?

You are not alone in pondering that idea. There are a large number of almost-retirement-age people who are considering COVID-19 as a sign. A sign of what, I'm not sure, but as a basis of enacting their retirement early, a sure thing.

My date is three years away, as declared by me. The boss was informed two years ago. While I may not go fully retired, I sure do not plan to continue on the stress and responsibility level I function at now.

My advice, if you can afford to live comfortably, albeit closely, on what you have stashed and/or coming from retirement, I'd say do it. Tomorrow is never promised.

I'll sell you my spouse's old phone that hangs on the kitchen wall as décor. We'll just say the termites got to it, 'k?

Before this adventure I couldn't imagine staying home all day. Now that I've had time to adjust, I find the days fly by and my list of things to do gets longer & longer.

Thinking September sounds like a good jumping off place. And you're right, lots of other folks thinking the same thing. Maybe our vacancies will boost the employment recovery.

Glad to hear you plan to dial it back. Stress is worse than a virus.

Engineers do make mistakes...I worked for one that was an engineer. He always had his slide rule with him and everything had to be mathematically correct He only got upset with me once, I was right and he was wrong. He later apologized and admitted he was wrong.

I worked with a bunch of engineers. Brilliant minds that brought me their desk calendar because they couldn't figure out how to put the refill in. (True story)

I never liked working for someone else and was never good at business. So I was stuck taking orders from others. I love retirement. Especially Sunday afternoon. I have my various hobbies and I always have something to do. But now I do it the way I want to. I can also do things without the stress of pleasing anyone but myself. Did I say I love being retired?

So's I assume you may suffer nightmares over having to deal
with the Bidness of knowing how to Mind your own Business.
Would I be correct in that assumption.

Changed my strategy on raising crayfish. I switched to bluegill and other sunfish. I will keep crawdads however. The only way to make a go of crawfish is either raising them in cages or digging a pond. They don't work and play well together. They eat each other. I am going to get a pond liner and make another above ground pond. Maybe another thousand gallons. My big cement pond has bluegill and they are fun. Now they beg for food. A little skiddish but not bad. I should get one pound of fish per 10 gallons of water. A one pound bluegill .... from fingering... in a year. I won't stock that many but I should get some good meals growing. The ones I have are growing fast. And they eat like hogs. After I get some babies I will start sorting them like Tilapia. The goal is to get bigger and faster growing fish. I also have surviving crawdads, one male and one female in some tanks. Will try some selective breeding for them too. At least that's the plan now.

My question is simple. What I wrote was correct.
A Pack of rubbers. But there was only One Rubber { condom } in
the pack { sealed }. But that is how rubbers were marketed.
As Rubbers ... Not a Rubber. No matter if one never got around to
using one let alone rubbing up against a nutter.
Any questions. We did stuff better in the 50's,nevertheless.
I think even Tattoos { Not a Tattoo } were better.
Unless someone can explain to my satisfaction a person
going into a Tattoo Parlor saying ...
I want me a Tattoos. And a pack of them rubber.

I have to try to make sense of (and make function) the work of mechanical engineers. They crank these kids out of universities and they really have no idea what they are doing. That part doesn’t bother me but with 30 years in the profession, these young engineers get pissed (really defensive) when you question their designs at all. Every so often I come across a ME that is insanely sharp and knowledgeable but for the most part, just programmed robots whose mechanical aptitude is about as bad as their English.

I have a niece who's an Industrial engineer. She's not only book smart, but picked a great profession for a woman. She's been able to write her own ticket when it comes to jobs. This is her on the bike with hubby.
