Holy crap, but I'm getting tired of this. A neighbor, two houses down, has a guest. For the past two weeks, she's been going out on the back deck to talk on the phone - broadcasting the call to the entire neighborhood.

    Every... Damn... Day...

    Glad your safe.
You wonder why they need a phone at all, when they shout so loud. We have a guy near us who shares his personal life with everyone in the street by shouting it down his phone.

My bet is that if you talked to either of them, face to face, you'd be saying "what?" all the time.

I still find it important that some folk like Talk Radio
personality Dennis Prager { have each week } without
Interruption { Even with 9/11 } His Happiness Hour
Because Happiness is a lost art.It is drastically important.
Happiness cures most ills. It's very beneficial.
    Therefore ... Father WHO day.?
    How about just Human's Day.

We will clean up the yard today.. Claudette was messy but not bad here. We were in tornado watches and warnings off and on all day, the warnings came over the cell phone which was a bit unerving with an alarm. Wind and some heavy rain which didn't last too long just kind of off and on through the night.
@politicalcenter How was the weather where you are?

No to be co-mingled in with the bane of yard work.
That being daily showering. The bane of any respectable HOBO.
Which mite explain why they are no longer called or considered
    HOBO.

Just a bit more yard work no big deal...just what comes with nature. Thank goodness Claudette wasn't a Michael. We are still paying for Michael.

Reads like she has worn out her welcome to the neighborhood.

Apparently not big enough to push rain into our secluded little vaLLey.. once the rain clouds make it in here they will move up and down the valley for months.. rain big, evoparate back into the clouds, rain elsewhere along the valley , rain eslewhere, repeat until the rain clouds are completely expended.. them months or years of completely cloudless skies.

Mercifully, I hadn't seen heard her yesterday, nor yet today. Maybe the two weeks was all there was.

I saw your pictures of Terlingua, we spent a couple of days at the Terlingua Ranch. We didn't survive the ranch road without getting a flat tire at night. We still bought the bumper sticker.."I survived the Terlingua Ranch Road." even though we didn't acutally come away unscathed. One day we might make it back there if.....things calm down.
I have to wonder how many people have mispronounced Study Butte.. The Big Bend is a world all to it's own.

Have you considered a recorded Rottweiler barking on full volume next time?

Or a note on the front door where the guest is staying saying you really didn't need to know about her affair with her boss, perhpas she needs to keep her voice down....

One can have some fun with these passive-aggressive things.

Yes,by all means not many are about to compare a Sweet Person
like Claudette Colbert to a virulent nasty New Yorker like Michael Rapaport.
Who said this about President Trump ..,
I can't repeat all the F words used.He also attacked the First Lady
and even Barron. That is what skinny, unhealthy, totally Unathletic
Big Mouth radical New Yorkers use to impress. The nastiest Hobo of the 50's
doesn't come close to that degree of slimballness.

I did okay crossing the Terlingua Ranch.. went out to get a valuation for some property out there.. guaraqntee you their prices are twice what ours are for the same type of terrain. (no freakin' agua!)
I honestly have a 25% failure rate of suspension or tires going out to Big Bend Ranch headquarters. I had a least one guest return with two flats! he changed one on the road and just made it back with another.. I keep a compressor at the estate just for airing up tires (my shop is on the other side of town from the ranchito)

Interesting how some areas have places that requires a new enunciation dictionary to pronounce according to locals.

We have Mrvlle. Seriously. To most people it's pronounced Maryville, but say it to a local, and they'll look at you funny.
