I guess that explains how huge Pythons have grown to
unearthly size in them Everglades.No we're not talkin'
swamps like in many southern states as easily seen in movies
like - Swamp Water - { shot in Georgia } and - Southern Comfort -
in Louisiana.
Where those places have been overwhelmed by massive floods
the last decade.
Like look how DisneyLand was vacated.

 

It is really a river 60 miles wide and 100 miles long.

The pythons are really causing havoc in the Everglades, they are invasive and unwanted.

 

Thankful today for overcast skies and cool temperatures in the mid 70s after several days of record breaking heat that ranged from 110-116 friggin degrees. In my state of Oregon today, our governor declared a state of emergency over the threat of wildfires in the forests.

I think it's going to be a loooooong summer ...

 

So, this has been one of 'those' weeks. Things come in threes, they say.

Sunday-Monday, refrigerator dies. $1100 later....
Monday night, vacuum cleaner dies. $150 later....
Wednesday night, a rock did the meet n greet with my windshield. $1400 later.....

We're done now, right? RIGHT??????

 

Fridge? a SubZero? Windshield? in your new Rolls? the vaccum cleaner you replaced with a dust buster? LOL
Truthfully... we jhuave the 5 door stainless steel GE fridge.. I don't know what it cost, wifey can tell ya', the vaccum.. an important appliance.. seems as tho' we forgot the expensive one thios time and went with a canister type..
And the last windshield I replaced (roch for lawnmower got it, 1999 Chev PU, so glad that if one had to be broken it was my old work truch and not wifey's Lexus) for $150/

 

If you're like me,you can sense a jinx streak a mile off.
I chalk it up to fate.There are just so many days in a year.
Too many peachy creamy days in a row is also a sign.
Ya gotta just Go with the Flo.
One may be able to git lucky and beat it out of town in the
nick of time before a Hurricane strikes.
Marriage is like that also.There are just so many good
prospects available.Only so much gold in Alaska.
On a more positive note I make sure to always have a really clean
Kitty Litter box.I don't want me cat to develop a complex about
having to use a dirty toilet.

 

Don't they always occur three at a time?

 

Have you priced refrigerators lately? That is actually the basic top freezer over a refrigerator, efficiency apartment ugly. Anything else (that will fit in the space) is 'special order' and will take weeks to get. This one will end up being the basement extra at some point.

Vacuum came from Wally World, Hoover basic 'wind tunnel' version. We have a very small house, lol.

The windshield is for the SUV, and the only place that 'carries' it is the dealer, and it's going to take them about 3 weeks to get it. I bought it used about a month ago, and it's been great so far, but dayum.....

 

No windscreen insurance cover?
Comes as standard here.

I haver no idea wha we paid for the 5 door fridge.. all I saw was...uh.. the five doors and the stainless steel finish LOL Time get away from me,,, sometimes by decades, for example,,, I was looking at teh realse dates of movies and v=was very surprised.. it's been 20 years since LOTR came out!!!!?

I've never used my insurance for something like this, but several people have said the same thing, so I've got an inquiry out to my agent. I still may not use the insurance though, since even things like that can increase your premiums down the road.

WE ARE in "old people's home" we just don't have any attendants...all we really need is a maid and a yardman.

IWifey rakes up gravel .. I have to scoop it up and haul it off... note: we live atop a few hundred feet of river gravel.. so It's not as tho' this project could ever be completed.. not in a hundred lifetimes .. She also does not understand "mulch" her idae of a clean yard is to kill every living thing on it, and then sprinkl;e it with water and sweep it.;
