It was pretty awesome today I don't smoke marijuana very often but I took a small roach with me and as I was lamenting my choice not to take a little bit more a fella came around and offered to smoke a big Hoober doober with me.
Pretty damn awesome when it all just falls together that way

Kinda nice when every red light is green. Shoulda took my pain in the ass dog

Man, but that that park is 50 miles away....

As I crossed the road to the Gulf today, I met a girl who was in mourning for her father.

I should have realized it, she looked like a girl from 1950, dressed in black. But she told me....

I did not swim in the Gulf today. The water was nasty.

As a former Pothead answer me this.I used to make sure
and hide roaches { usually big ones rolled with good weed }.
It was a lifeline as every pothead knows when a pot supply
    runs out.It eventually will.Sometimes because there's a shortage of
pot available or certain dealers leave town, move or get arrested.
How long do you think a roach is good for.I mean, still able to
    give one a substantial buzz.
I think Pot { a roach } has a quite long shelf life. What say you.
Likewise a cigar does not.It will quickly dry out and get stale.

You obviously aren't smoking that new stuff. Once upon a time I used to smoke doobies like cigarettes (had a kilo delivered to my desk here in my office!) I quit, realised I wasn't getting any smarter.. but I say that to say this.. a kid from the city showed up and had me sample the new stuff.. literally knocked me on my ass after two hits.. yeah.. also reminded me that is was a good thing to stay quit of the stuff. That new stuff isn't so much
pot" as it is THC in a slightly leafy form.

Well, the one I smoked, I had had for a good 6 months. I dont smoke very often. I had a cooler with plenty of Busch beer on ice and gatorades and water but he did not drink beer.
The guy had recently moved here from Colorado and told me where he had moved....I said "whoa man you can't pronounce it like that or everyone will know you are not from around here, you gotta say it likes this....''

Another benefit of being a rare toker is it only takes a few tokes.
LOL, I'm a lover, not a fighter. My hair goes halfway down my back.

LOL, I keep a good blade on me, I'm getting to old to fight.
I'm not very big but I am 6'1 210 pounds.

I don't believe in fighting unless someone leaves me no choice and they mean to hurt me, then all bets are off.

*Heavy sigh....back to work tonight. Thinking of getting a motorcycle, sure would have been nice to have had a street legal dirtbike yesterday.

A nice little wilderness preserve much closer to home 10 miles from my house.

I'm here to cast net some tilapia from this pond. The first time I threw my net here 6 months ago I caught eight good size keeper fish in one throw of a 6 ft net. I threw my net again with equal results.

About that time a guy who lives here with a forest ranger shirt on came out and told me that I could not be fishing there as it was some sort of a fish farm.

I told him well it's a public access area I didn't see any signs. He "let" me keep the fish. There is no bag limit on tilapia they are considered invasives. They are pretty good to eat they sell them in the store they're not the most expensive fish but they're a nice white mild meat.

Well anyhow I'm back again and there's still no sign. So I'm going to throw my net a couple of times and hopefully get about 15 fish. Enough for a few decent meals anyway.

The way I see it your perfectly legal and there is no sign and it's a public area. Personally I think the guy was full of crap myself.

If you had a fish farm on public access land don't you think it would be posted?

Anyways I'm kind of hungry for tilapia so if he's going to come and get me he'll just have to do it.

Chances are he won't even see me I'll be throwing my net for about 2 minutes and then I'll be gone

15 fish not bad for four throws of the net most of them are well over 1 lb several of them are probably pushing three IMG_20210818_180120.jpg
Park ranger dude is none the wiser even though I still think he's full of crap there's still no signs the margins of the pond are sort of overgrown and hard to get to so if you had a fish farm wouldn't you be keeping the margins clear so you could feed and maintain the stock? He probably saw your van and came looking for you. just park further away and he'll be looking in the wrong place long enough for you to be in and out before he can catch you at it.

My friend says fishing with a net is not "real fishing", I say the hell it ain't puts fish in the frying pan don't it?

I could actually make money off of these fish but I'm not going to be greedy I'm going to share some with the landlord and stock some up in the freezer for some food. The pond is nothing very spectacular to look at probably less than 1 acre and the waters is green as it can be but there is no runoff from the road and that's important.

On my way in at the main gate off of the highway I stopped to do two things. Open the side door so the dog could have some more air and look around and see if there's a trail camera, because if there is he already knows as soon as you pull in.

But evidently I was not seen cuz I'm still sitting here relaxing got the fish on ice about to go home and gut them before work.

But I'm not going to fillet them tonight I'll leave them on ice until tomorrow

I got tired of just breading and deep frying fish so I tried a new recipe recently.

You take some heavy cream and some butter and some fresh squeezed garlic and whatever else you want in there, and make a garlic butter sauce to bake them in.

Ughhh....I gutted them and cut the heads off and got them iced down nicely....nasty work but even if kept on ice, gutting them is best for freshness.

My pet banded water snake just ate a mullet I netted yesterday so I was not expecting him to be out and about in his 55 gallon on my porch, usually when he eats a big meal, he hangs out in his hidey spot a few days.

My fish cleaning table is close to his tank....I look up and his fat ass is glued to the glass, watching me.....oughta name him FatBack.....fat bastard!

I can say with relative certainty that in my firsthand experience
of smoking pot { on and off } for a Quarter century that Old roaches
    don't lose much in potency.That is within a few years.Not 5 or 10 years
    but a couple,3 years.
I gave up pot for good the month my Father died a horrible death.
That was in 1995.Maybe a couple times a year I may get the urge
to wish I had some pot.But Pot destroys ambition.Makes one a true
slacker. It's absolutely true that Pot makes one dumb.
True Potheads fight that fact.So they sashay thru life thinking pot
    is harmless and fun.

Ehhh....I can take it or leave it really. But I do like my beer.

My brother is a lifelong toker. He owns a screen and aluminum business in Tampa. Has 5 FT employees and drives a truck he probably has 80K in. He's a very wealthy man.

As anecdotal as that is....I bet weed is less harmful than drinking, overall.

Upon closer inspection of this picture we can see Ross Allen holding and extracting venom from a large Eastern diamondback rattlesnake.....WITH one hand, holding the reptile by the head and tail! Like a boss!

I don't mind being around and handling venomous snakes....with tools! Not my bare hands. I handled a moccasin that way once, he contorted his head and knicked the end of my thumb.....fortunately my thumbnail was long enough, it's all he got.

Talk about having the tiger by the tail! They are like a live wire with a brain.

I was bored of sitting in the office.. so I figured I'd cruise the length and breadth of the pueblito.. saw a new golfball when I circled thru the Trading Post and Cantina .. uh.. parking lot? . I don't golf so I left it.. Tried to go as slow as possible ( the ol' Lexus makes that difficult.. such a smooth running and quite car!) the school zones helped.. went to the far north side of the city and figured I'd do a security pass on the storage units (actually a vacancy scan, they have never been molested by burglars). All full still, I need to get my junk out of a couple of the units, got the paper to see if I can figure out if the 2nd Saturday sale exist.. and where it might be. So.. got back here and carefully backed the car into it's parking spot so as to put the butt end to the sun..

    20 minutes had elapsed..
Smartie.. slide another Dos X's down here!

"Chewy" is said to be a cross between blue heeler and chiwawa. I think a fox was involved.
