LMAO! You wont be seeing this on Huffington Post!

The best part was "I'm an illegal from Libya. I just came here for the welfare."

Wow! I couldn't believe that was said on liberal TV!

Your sense of humor is a bit off if you fail to see SNL took pot shots at both sides of the political spectrum with that skit. Either way it really wasn't all that funny.

To have Obama take shots at the right, while the people of the US undercut that subtext, thereby deflating the president's position, is not taking "pot shots at both sides".

If I have to explain comedy to you, you would have to probably let go of most of what you currently think is funny.

Did you miss the bit where the woman blamed her broken phone on Obama. (the humor in this is that the right blame Obama for everything under the sun) or the Ted Cruz bit was obviously making fun of him.

SNL while not very funny took digs at both sides of the Obamacare argument. Quit the petty partisanship to see that.

While comedy has an objective meaning. Humor on the hand can be completely subjective. Personally I don't find SNL funny but you have every right to find it funny. Now, I will not get into an argument over taste and humor because it would end nowhere productive.

Most likely SNL has finally acknowledged business reality -- and the show is a business -- which is that there are only so many liberals to go around and that if the comedy legacy show wants to keep going it's going to have to find a way to make peace with Republicans, if not even with conservatives. So now they are -- gasp! -- acknowledging two legitimate sides to a political and ideological argument in their comedy routines. Whether or not they continue pretty much depends on what the ratings do as a result of them deciding to be inclusive rather than exclusive as a . . . business.

Oh . . . and finally they are beginning to acknowledge the undeniable fact that Obama really is stink on a stick so far as competence as president is concerned. They did their part in 2012 to help get their party's guy re-elected, and so why not finally admit reality?

Righties are so funny when they don't even realize a comedy skit is parodying THEIR OWN idiotic arguments against a program!

It actually made fun of everyone but Obama. Obama understands ACA apparently, but everyone else is too stupid to get it. Thats what the skit was saying. Now if they had him say, "don't worry guys, I don't understand it either, but you'll love it, trust me, wink, wink..." that would be poking fun and closer to the truth, but then again, everyone at SnL might find themselves not waking up tomorrow....kidding=)

    Was probably an Obamaphone.

Yes they made fun of Cruz, I forgot that. Saw it live. Point was they blasted Obamacare, which is pretty out of character.

    You mean Regan phones?

So then you concede that they made fun of both parties?. I wouldn't know if this is a regular trend or not for SNL because frankly, I don't watch it.

So would the Skit be different on another source? Are you suggesting a direct clip of SNL would be different somewhere else?

Wow. Among the most LEFT of all TV shows....amazing.

    - - - Updated - - -

Oh..so we're all supposed to be pretending that SNL is NOT decidedly leftist?

That skit was tantamount to the Ides of March in Leftworld...

I'm not agruing that SNL has any sort of "slant" or bias. However I am simply stating that the skit currently in discussion in this thread was poking fun at both left and right.

If you fail to understand what I just said do not post LIKE THIS to try and grab my ATTENTION.

Yes, that is a concession. My memory was inaccurate, and my post reflected that.

There were no phones involved in Reagans program. A discount on landlines were provided for the poor. Not phones.

Ha, that was funny. I loved the doctor telling people to stop shoving things up their butts. It made my day.

So it's a joke, within an enigma, redirected, off the superdome, right at George Bush... wrapped in layers... reflecting on everyone you disagree with.

    (*)(*)(*)(*)ing brilliant.
