E3 is here, the veil has been removed. Microsoftis sticking with its DRM and limiting game trades... Sony is not.

"PlayStation 4 will support lending, trading, reselling, and indeed playing your games on your console in pretty much the same way as we have been since they came on floppy discs. No DRM, no restrictions, no online requirements, and no authentication."

    http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/06/11/e3-2013-sonys-knock-out-blow

And the knockout blow... the PS4 will be $399 which is $100 less than the XBOX One.

Personally I think the XBOX One will sell well because for every person like me that they loose as a customer, they will pick up a new customer that is interested in its multimedia centric focus. But as I am no longer the demographic of Microsoft I am happy to return to an old friend... the Playstation.

Sony wins, hands down, and I've always liked Playstation better than xBox anyway.

I've kind of been waiting to see what the big three offerings would be, and now that we're there...

I'm sticking with my Sega Saturn. Just can't justify the expense for the little game playing I do. All have things I like, and enough that I don't to make me hang on to my money.

Leaning towards playstation myself. I'm not going to buy it immediately though. I learned from the 360 not to do that. Their could be several things wrong with it and I'd rather know before hand before I get one. Also I would prefer to let the game roster add up a little first. No since in getting it when at the time they may have only 1 or 2 exclusive hits available for a while.

I love my PC also, and think many games are easier to control on the PC. But I like consoles because I do not have to deal with upgrades and compatibility issues. Also I can trade in used console games... well soon to be limited to the PS4 trade ins.

I completely agree. I will wait for at least 6 months but probably a year before I buy. I figure after a year there may be a bit of a price drop also.

What's to stop you selling a used computer game? I see them for sale all over.

I still prefer PC over console gaming too. My last console was given to me as a gift and I still probably wouldn't have bought one otherwise. I do know at least one person that is willing to put up with the Xbox nonsense because of some exclusive titles.

Perhaps its an Idaho law, but they stopped selling used PC games like 10 years ago... but I am talking retail sales only.

I will miss Gears of War and Forza Motorsport. But on the flip side the Playstation has some good exclusives also. And I have Steam for my PC and pick up cheap games off of it.

Killzone trumps halo and gears of war, Metal gear solid V will be the definitive version on PS4, that right there is enough to warrant a PS4 purchase. Sony FTW!!!

I never really could get into Killzone. I never saw what the big deal was about it. Same with Halo. Sure it was enjoyable but not fanboy worthy. Gears of War was fun when it first came out but each installment just felt like more of the same for me.

I am looking forward to the new Metal Gear game. I enjoy the series with Snake Eater being the best one in my opinion. Four was kind of a let down to me. I enjoyed the storyline but the stealth aspect of it just seemed lacking. And between Meryl's team awkward anime poses, the Toad specil forces, and the over the top and unnecessary action sequences by Raiden really detracted from the game.

Right now the games I'm looking forward to are The last of us, Between two souls, and Watchdogs(even though I don't think that one is exclusive).

There are some places here in Florida that sell used pc games. Personally I really don't want to bother with them until I get a good gaming computer. Until then my laptop isn't exactly the best thing available for playing and modding games(like I know how to mod). It would be cool though.

Or we could be focusing on the bigger picture. The Xbox 360 is a fine piece of equipment, which has served me well for 2 years now. I don't need to upgrade my console, but they'll evuntually make me if I want the new games. Doesn't sit right with me.

But I am a spoiled graphics whore! It will probably be Christmas 2014 when I buy the PS4 so it will be a while. The good news is that many of the next gen games will be on the XBOX 360 also.

For a little while. Then they switch over. And who needs better graphics? We need better games, ones with stories, that makes us cry and feel emotions. I'm just not feeling that with Xbox games.

Can you help me find a game for the playstation? I think it's from the creators of Heavy Rain. The trailer was about a robot who gained sentience but was being taken apart because of that, but at the last minute she was saved and told to go out with the other robots? I can't recall its name, it looked so good.

It is a rare game indeed that can evoke such emotion. The last game I can think of would be The Walking Dead. The last game that I played with amazing atmosphere was Metro Last Light. A game coming later this year is Watch Dogs, which I am hoping has some good character development and story... gameplay looks amazing.

A game I never played, but I want to play is called To the Moon. Beautiful game. But Watch Dogs might be a good game.
