Obama was warned in 2016 that Russians did try to infiltrate the Democrat campaign, through the DNC.

There is no evidence that Trump knew about any of this activity.

I abhor pissant witch hunts, no matter who is the target.

Can be a crime??? What is that?? Can it be a horse?? It either is or isn't a crime. I am not aware that it is a crime, but people can sure throw implications out hoping we are too dumb to notice. Was Obama's campaigning against Netanyahu -- with operatives on the ground and in the open in Israel -- illegal?

But the people who worked for him definitely did.

Don Junior, Kushner, Manafort and Papadopoulos all knew about Russia's efforts and met with them for the express purpose of getting the dirt. In fact, when Don Junior got an email about it, his dad was telling the public just hours later that the campaign was about to release info about Clinton and her dealings with Russia . . . the exact topic of the email . . . within hours. It would be an amazing coincidence if he didn't know.

Did Mueller contact you via a text or voicemail to inform you of that?
And that is key...Trumps days of calling the investigation a witch hunt are over. Mueller just painted Trump into a corner and wired his jaw shut.

"Junior, Kushner, and Papadopoulos all met with Russians for the [thought they might be] getting dirt on Clinton. Which, for the thousandth time, is not criminal -- one more time -- IS NOT CRIMINAL. You unwittingly threw Manafort in the list but he hasn't been charged with anything that has anything to do with Russia or the 2016 election. However, guys on a witch hunt are usually not picky if they have the authority to bottom feed, which Mueller does.

I think they probably should have, but I am not aware that they are obligated to.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his prosecutors haven’t concluded their investigation into whether President Donald Trump or any of his associates helped Russia interfere in the 2016 election, according to a person with knowledge of the probe.

"Russia started their anti-US campaign in 2014, long before I announced that I would run for President. The results of the election were not impacted. The Trump campaign did nothing wrong - no collusion!" Trump said on Twitter.

That has yet to be determined. Friday’s indictment should be seen as an effort by Mueller to raise awareness about Russia’s capabilities as the 2018 U.S. elections draw near, the person said.

"At this point, any step President Trump may take to interfere with the Special Counsel’s investigation—including removing Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein, or threatening to remove Special Counsel Mueller directly—will have to be seen as a direct attempt to aid the Russian government in attacking American democracy," Nadler said in a statement.

It’s still possible that Mueller will indict Americans for knowingly helping Russia, the person said.

You have to wonder if that was what Obama was speaking about to Medvedev in that open mic conversation . Did Obama okay the Russian operation after his election, or were they operating that heavily before and after the 2008 election of Barack Obama then went fully operational in 2013?

It was just last fall the buffoon was still claiming Russia didn't meddle in the 2016 election. He didn't believe his own intelligence community but he did believe his hero, Vladimir Putin when Putin claimed "no, Russia didn't do this". The buffoon has put out a tweet today - now saying Russia was meddling since 2014 (as the indictment states) and of course, none of his campaign staff colluded so he's off the hook. The Trump people had also claimed that "gee, none of our people spoke with Russians" - Pence was shocked the question was even asked. We all know how that turned out as multiple Trump officials had spoke with Russians and then "forgot about it". The indictment refers to the indicted Russians in contact with "three unwitting Trump associates" (translation: stupid idiots). As to whether there is collusion, that is yet to be determined as this is not over, by a long shot.

Like I said though, I don't believe Trump's problems will be about collusion, there is likely other more serious matters to come about. We must be patient........

That doesn't mean they knew about all the illegal activity listed in the indictments. They thought the Russians they were meeting with had some info on Hillary that they could use. There is nothing unusual about digging for dirt on your opponent during an election.

I suspect this will be the end of Mueller's "investigation" since the Inspector General is about to make their report public very soon.

Good luck spinning this into good news, LW. Lipstick on a very stinky pig. How much time and expense, and what, internet trolls? ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME? INTERNET TROLLS? HRC campaign spends 1.2 billion and we are supposed to buy that a handful of Russian INTERNET TROLLS affected the election? Tough sell, like YUGO tough. Watching the straining and stamping will be funny though.

LW and their shills will howl "end for Drumpf!" Everyone else will be POd at this continuing sham. Net effect? Good for Trump Administration and the GOP.

No one doubted that the Russians (or any other country) meddled in our elections or any other countries elections.

Our leaders do the same with other countries elections.

What we have said all along is that there was no fricking collusion and Mueller just proved that today when he did not indict any American citizens and did not state that there was collusion.

The Mueller investigation is over. Mueller and his thug gang needs to pack up and go home. The charade is over.

Conspiracy to commit a felony is a crime, whether or not the underlying crime comes to completion. And the charges against Manafort involve him working as an unregistered pro-Russian foreign agent all the way into 2016. And you are shifting the goalposts. First you said they didn't know anything about it, now you've shifted to whether or not they did anything illegal. They knew of Russia's efforts, and they in the very least conspired to aid them.

It is illegal for a campaign to receive anything of value from a foreign entity. A felony. Attempting to commit a felony is illegal, whether or not you succeed.
