Americans going back to work too early isn't going to save the economy, it's only going to prolong the agony. The US federal government is finally taking the right steps to confront the coronavirus pandemic by urging people to work from home and practice social distancing. This is precisely what needed to be done to mitigate the spread of this virus. Lifting restrictions and forcing people back to work too early is only going to result in an increase in infections and subsequent deaths.

No reason those who pass an antibody test for coronavirus can't go back to work.

Reality bumming you out won't stop it from being reality. Feel free to prefer comforting lies over the truth. I don't. I prefer the truth. I'm not going to put lives at risk just to satisfy some rando's standards for being "fun at parties." As far as being "pathetic" goes, I'm going to put reality over "YOLO." You obviously disagree.

And you also apparently don't know what words like "lefty" mean, but that comes as no surprise since you obviously prefer feeeeelz over facts.

I celebrated the "great news" in the OP that had any basis in fact. I'm not going to celebrate lies just because one side or another finds them politically convenient. How is this even a controversial thing? Seriously. Pathetic indeed.

New numbers continue to show why the ones saying this was over hyped from day 1 were correct while the screaming death heads are now reduced to saying "...well it could have been really bad!"

But I agree with you, thank God for the strong leadership from the WH on social distancing. :)

So long as we keep up with preventative measures, which we'll need to keep going until there is a vaccine or highly effective treatment in place.

This lie has already been addressed. The CDC says an estimated ~60,000 died of the flu 2017-2018, not ~80,000. Please catch up. Also, even if this were correct, that's for 1 year, and the claim that this is "typical" is another outright lie.

The reason why the current projections are less severe is explicitly because government officials, business leaders, and enough ordinary folks to the experts instead of the jackasses who were saying "this was over hyped from day 1."

Well, if you want to cite the CDC, maybe go with the CDC. The quote was about CDC numbers, in which case, CDC > CNN, obviously. I don't understand why I have to explain this to an adult. Or, whatever, keep playing make-believe that you ever cared about what CNN had to say and actually address the discussion instead of doing everything you possibly can to distract from the facts.

Great . . . so why pretend why what they have to say is relevant to the discussion?

~Yes indeed . We certainly watched a lot of that unfold with the Russian Dossier Adventures and the Mueller/Weissmann fiasco . Political narrative over facts abound !
