Four people I've never heard of outside of your postings, and who I'm pretty sure most people here haven't either. It would be in good form to tell us where they performed the actions you alleged, and maybe offer a few quotes, because if I've never heard of the person, I probably don't know where they come from. Pretty much any mainstream figure in the modern LGBT movement, any member of congress within the last 10 years... Harvey Milk, because some annoying (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) won't stop bringing him up... Or just provide decent citations from the people you mentioned. I'm by no means convinced Madsen and Kirk had much of an impact on the movement whatsoever - Madsen certainly doesn't think so. Indeed, most of the people who even mention the book seem to be right wing conspiracy theorists, looking for someone to blame. Hay is more reasonable of an example, seeing as wikipedia actually cites him as a leader of the movement in the 70s, but how about some actual citation, instead of expecting us to know about every quote from everyone in the movement?

That he was a major part of the early LGBTQ movement is like pointing out that the Unabomber was an environmentalist - an unfortunate truth which does nothing to impact the validity of the rest of the movement.
