Amen, bro. But, for the sake of accuracy and full disclosure, I would like to take the time to explain how I came up with this "65 times more likely" number.

My assumptions are that homosexual men make up approximately 1% to 2% of the population, but approximately 50% of HIV cases here in America (I provided a link verifying those statistics). In order to conduct the caluclation, I decided to assume homosexual men are 1.5% of the adult population. Now, a small swing in that 1.5% number could create a large swing in the result. For example, if the true number is 1% then we could say a randomly selected homosexual man is (guesstimating) 90 to 100 times more likely to have HIV than a randomly selected adult taken from the rest of the population. If the true number is 2% or even as high as 2.5%, then the result becomes (guesstimating) 40 to 50 times more likely to have HIV.

The bottom line is that mathematically speaking, and despite what the brain dead slaves to political correctness want us to believe, a homosexual male is significantly, significantly more likely to have HIV than any other randomly selected person. I'm not attached to my calculation of 65, but I have no doubt it's at least 50.

 

The only relevant percentage is the percentage of the gay population that is infected. Your made up numbers above are meaningless.

Not a single number of mine is made up. I took the numbers from a government website, looked up a good faith estimate at the total population of adults in the country, and did some calculations. I gladly admit that the "65" figure is probably not perfect, but even if you give homosexuals all the reasonable benefit of the doubt numerically speaking, then we're still looking at the average homosexual male being at least 40 to 50 times more likely to have HIV than the average adult from the rest of the population.

Do you have anything better than yelling "liar, liar, pants on fire!"..? You look pretty silly doing that, especially considering I gave government resources as a reference.

Neither do I- as a blood donor that is just one of many general precautions that is there to protect the blood supply.

If I had travelled to Great Britain during certain years I would be asked to not donate either.

Let me put it another way- I am all in favor of reasonable health precautions which is what we are talking about- i am also in favor of confronting homophobic nonsense- but the blood donation policy is not that.

The ONLY way that all the species genomes we have mapped could have this Viral DNA encoding and this includes us is if ALL SPECIES EVOLVED FROM AN ORIGINAL SINGLE CELLED ORGANISM.
