of course, the burning Cross was a Christian symbol, they thought they were promoting their religion by lighting it up.... course like the swastika, now no one sees it that way, today a burning Cross is tainted with the image of white supremacy

The civil rights movement was an significent event in history but not the center of the 1950's universe

Modern medicine is far advanced over the 1950's

And new cars can last 200,000 miles whereas in the 1950's it was only good for 75-100,000 tops

On the other hand most people could fix their own cars which is not possible today except for very minor repairs

So we are less self-sufficent

And more ordinary Americans had jobs that could support a family

Materally we are better off today but morally, spiritually, and practically all the intangables we have lost a lot since then

A homogenous society is more productive, and integration will take time, in the meantime conflict.

From my limited experience, I have to say it's not really easy, centuries of gypsies living along my kind did not help much, and it's not limited to color differences. You will not get served in a part of Romania( Székely Land ), being a Romanian, because you are a Romanian. Isn't that hilarious?

Good thing all Americans speak the same language, that helps a lot. Good luck guys, but please try it first and see if it works before enforcing the ideology on others.
