Ayers hosted a "meet the candidates" event at his house because he was asked to by a state senator (one of roughly 20 houses that Barack visited that day) and that is where he met Barack Obama.

Also, Ayers was not freed because he was never convicted. The case against him was dropped because of illegal evidence gathering. And his actions - for which he voluntarily turned himself in before becoming a professor - was forty years before Obama ran for the Presidency.

But all of this ignores the fact that you are today claiming that Obama deserves to be blasted to death because he was remote acquaintances with a guy in Chicago.
