Well, it certainly doesn't take any intelligence to be fooled by the utopian concepts of progressives. It actually takes intelligence to see through the folly.

The point is, people tossing the race card at anyone who criticizes a black person, while admitting they think black people need a "leg up" to compete with white people and even other minorities, need to shut up=)

And calling the Tea Party racist is simply a lie. There is NOTHING they stand for that's racist. Maybe people who are a part of the organization are racist, but then so is everyone. Black people are racists. White people, Asians....everyone. When Democrats or Liberals enjoy pointing fingers while ignoring their own, its just so stupifying and pathetic.

You point out that maybe people in the Tea Party are racist, but then go right after somebody else. Who is pointing fingers and ignoring their own again?

Ah, common sense. No room for that.

Speaking of intelligence, an informed person would have ascertained that my comment above was referring to voters, no offense.

This is a wonderful example of just how poorly our media explains, politics, economics and outccomes. How anyone could possibly think the left is not part and parcel of the fusion of Big Business and Big Govt. to the disadvantage of the working and middle classes is beyond me. The dependent poor and the wealthy are part of a coalition that is opposed by workers and middle class folks.

I have yet to find these intelligent conservative voters. In fact, I have yet to find them on political boards either. When I say intelligent, I do not mean that these people do not have the skills or tools necessary to function in our modern society. What I mean is political, economic, social, moral and global intelligence. I cannot find one single tenet the right wing holds that is not first grounded upon ideology rather than any sense of pragmatism or reliance upon facts, data, history or evidence. I keep trying, perhaps you can show us where this intellectual capital resides for it surely does not reside in your leadership.

For a lot of people, the answer is a resounding "yes". There's no longer any question about it.

It isn't possible to be so arrogant and to have a higher level of consciousness.

Yeah, Obama is no smarter than Bush, and much less intelligent than Xi Jinping, Ayatollah Khamenei, Vladimir Putin, and Angela Merkel.

Mere rhetoric that can be dismissed out of hand.

The right represents white workers and the white middle class. They have no home on the left.

The left believes in magic, but not math.

I'm not saying you are lying, because I once had a Labrador that couldn't find a pheasant if you pointed it out to her!
Good luck on your treasure hunt.

Are you referring to people like Thomas Sowell, John Yoo, and Clarence Thomas?

There will always be plenty Uncle Toms, people who can be bought with a pat on the head. It's a big country.

The left wing base never gets tired of playing the racist card. it is their "go to" response to anything and everything. I think a left wing hack can find racism as a motivation for virtually everything.

Of course I don't agree with it. We'll call Uncle Toms what they are without any pats on the head.

Is there some reason we should get tired? lt's still a very viable card.

I admitted it. Liberals don't. That's the point of the thread, lies about the Tea Party. Get it? And nice grade school debate class tactic you got going there...criticizing someone for criticizing? Seriously? This is a message board. You also proved my point. Its the same tactic used to shut people down when criticizing Obama....just yell RACIST and demand they prove they're not one!!!

Hope springs eternal, somewhere in the abyss of the conservative movement is the next Republican. Have you ever been curious what the Republican Party used to stand for? Read the 1956 GOP platform, listen to Ike. There once was a time when the GOP actually wished to govern on behalf of the people, that ended with Reagan.

Ironic post in a thread with no evidentiary underpinning whatsoever. Not one shred of factual evidence has been posted to this thread that the tea party is "racist." But I guess you are one of those "do as I say not as I do" leftists, right?

The tea party is indeed racist and it has been documented time and again over the last 5 years. This is not a court, it is a political forum. I find that whenever a tea party guy starts with your line of reasoning, they are just deflecting. I could post link after link of tea party people with racist signs or slogans or quotes, you would ignore them. I could point out that the tea party did not really even exist until the day after we elected our first black POTUS and you would give me a line about it being due to policy not race. The tea party is the modern day John Birch Society, live with it.

Pointing out somebody's contradictions is rather elementary I admit. Then again, so is avoiding contradicting yourself. I criticized you for doing the same thing you criticized others for doing. What was your point again? Apparently I proved it, but I must have missed that part in your rants about how liberals being racist makes it okay that Tea Party members are.

No, it is an opinion forum and opinions are like armpits, everyone has more than one and they usually stink.

Your opinion is not based in fact but on your own bigotry.

I can post link after link of "Kill GWB" posters, and have in other threads to demonstrate leftist hypocrisy. Does that make the LW "bald-faced murderers?" No. You, nor anyone else claiming TP racism in the thread have made your case (at law or in the kiddy-logic land you people inhabit), just gone on in a conceited, condescending way that is pure irony in light of the MORONIC, unsubstantiated claims from the left in this thread.

BTW, I'm not a TPer, rather an anti "Complex left" who doesn't like, and has become fed up with, the endless lie narratives on race, gender, wealth, the environment, etc. that the left bloviates out daily from a reeking, union-label PR sewer pipe. There are lots of non TP people out there like me who are getting tired of the endless, resentment-based lies, hence Nov 2014. If you all can't think of anything better to say about politics in the future than "the Tea Party is racist," then you deserve the utter trouncing you will receive going forward. Adults aren't buying it any more. There is no more stranglehold on the dialog, the net has seen to that. Find better talking points than "XYZ is racist, war on women, wealth inequity" or get ready to become rapidly politically irrelevant.
