I suppose I can sort of understand how much easier it is for posers to tell lies about the people they disagree with.
Maybe you should take the easy route and report my post.

Ok, I find your idea as short and ill conceived as it comes. As I stated before, your notion is riddled with junk science, this issue isn't new.

It is clear you know nothing about perimeter security !!!!

So go ahead and make up things about me some more. !!!!

Cite the specifics of the "junk science" you've ascribed to me & I'll be happy to consider & debate it with you. You'll have to do better than deploy an empty slogan. Unless empty sloganeering is all you've got.
Airports have robust perimeter security, and I've long held that schools be made just as secure. That hasn't happened, and isn't likely to anytime soon. It certainly didn't exist at Uvalde, Sandy Hook, VA Tech, Sandy Hook, Columbine, Parkland, etc. In those instances - and at virtually every school in the here & now where it also doesn't exist - don't you wish someone like my daughter had been there as the last line of defense? If not, why?
What have I made up about you?

I suspect you're right. I found this image online, but it's identical to the signs posted at my daughter's school.

I thought we have already shown that the good guy with a gun doesn't really work.

You clearly mentioned Uvalde, where 376 officers stood by for over an hour while children were being killed?

No, "we" haven't. Did you link to reports of armed teachers who failed to stop active shooters on campus? If so, I must've missed it.
So when law enforcement is incompetent/negligent, victims in the cross hairs should never be equipped to defend themselves or the people they're responsible for, when the cops fail to do so. Thanks for clearing that up. That strikes me as not just wrong, but evil.

Anyone unwilling to assume responsibility for their own safety & well-being is nothing more than a victim waiting for the hammer to fall. I refuse to let me or mine play that game, because it's a coward's game. But hey - you do you.

    What?

In virtually every single 'bad guy with a gun' scenario, it's a good guy with a gun who stops them whether it's police or citizen.

People without guns don't stop people with guns....

So it's actually the exact opposite that's been established. But by all means do not ever let facts get in the way of your agenda.

I would be more worried about the hundreds of guys playing with themselves in the girl's bathrooms than a teacher with a gun.

If y guns shoot x people, how many people will get shot if there are y+z guns?

The notion that we arm everyone to thwart the gun violence is long in the tooth.

An evasion, and not a clever one. You can't cite the "junk science" you've accused me of peddling. And unlike your comrade in arms Nwolfe35, you don't have the balls to stipulate whether you think it would have been good or bad for someone like my daughter to have been onsite at Uvalde, after the cops had decided to let the shooter commit mass murder. Thanks for playing!

So those 376 TRAINED officers who did nothing, why didnt they put their lives on the line ? Oh yeah, because sel preservation is the number one driver to what people do.

AGAIN, its all bloviation to think YOU would be the one to save everyone, but 99% of people will choose the path of self preservation

Guns dont save people, BRAVE PEOPLE save people.

AGAIN, the gun is not the answer…..

No it’s not. Uvalde was a perfect example of that. As posted, 376 ARMED officers stood by and allowed children to be slaughtered, becasue not one of them was willing to give thier life for those children, and yet they all had a gun.

So look at it this way, they’re were 376 guns against 1 gun, and the 1 gun won…..why was that ? Oh yeah, because it’s about WHO has the gun….

So let me get this right, you're saying it's proven it won't work because you site a situation where teachers didn't have guns and weren't given a chance to stop it before they were killed? Brilliant take but all you've done is make the argument that Uvalde is a place that could've been stopped hours earlier with a trained teacher with a gun. Do you have anything other than lefty feelz on this?

So that is the modus operandi of the OP. Those like the OP use their lying tactics all the time.
There is an excellent article in the March 2024 edition of The Atlantic about the Parkland shooting.
It goes into detail about how training was changed for law enforcement to help combat such mass shootings.
However, as the article goes into specifics about it there is such a disconnect with the techniques and the application.
One day, perhaps, those that scream the loudest about their "good guy" with a gun vision will look at things differently.

I'm all for armed teachers, but I would like to point out that Sandy Hook and a few others, Pulse, Las Vegas, Parkland, San Bernardino, were staged events meant to advance the gun control narrative.

Agreed. And half of these gun nutters would crap their pants if they were in an active shooter situation. Funny how I cant even remember the last time the “good guy with a gun” scenario actually played out.

What else I find funny is that in the military, soldiers go thru extensive training on guns, but also on the psychology of USING the gun”. But we cant do that for Bob whos a night shelf stocker at Home Depot who has his CCP and thinks he’s Denzel in “The Equalizer”

There were 376 TRAINED officers who stood there for 2 hours while children died. THATS A FACT.

So in your brilliance, please explain how that happened when the shooter was that heavily outgunned, yet all those officers stood by. WHY did they do that….WHY did those officers stand by and do nothing.

Thats a serious question. Just tell me in your own opinion WHY they stood by ?

Negligence, incompetence, cowardice. Your insistence that victims left alone in the crosshairs not be equipped to defend themselves perfectly - and repugnantly - illustrates that third component. Next question?

All anyone that is a rational thinker can do for this statement is to Shake their Head.
    Total complete fabrication.

And someway somehow they feel that magically one individual is going to change the dynamics of the situation.
Minimal, and I mean minimal training compared to what regular law enforcement is subjected too will make the difference.

There are instances were a crime has been stopped by a carrying good citizen. There are people like that, but not everyone is up to such effort, hence care is needed when one has that responsibility and vetting them is paramount.
