These past couple of months without hockey have made me realize just how big of (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) most athletes in other sports really are.

Look to my Bruins to walk away with Lord Stanley's cup this shortened season.

    Maybe the Coyotes.

I wish I was more optimistic about my Blackhawks, but they didn't do (*)(*)(*)(*) in free agency. They'll still be good, but not any better.

I thought someone bought them at the end of last year.

I was thinking one of those southern cities, that don't really feel like hockey towns. Columbus, or Nashville, ect.

I don't think the ownership situation in Phoenix is completely settled yet.

For me to watch even one game this year would require Jon Mirasty to be in the NHL and a fight every game. I'll wait two weeks to see if it happens. If not, me no watchy hockey out of spite of their strike.

My team is the Canucks. After suffering (many times in person at the games) through last season's playoff debacle I was encouraged when The Hockey News said that this year they were going to take it. Then the strike :(

I look for the St. Louis Blues to advance to the Cup.

#1. Young legs. In the shortened season, a lot of games will be played consecutively. Stamina will be important.
#2. One - Two punch in goal...the back-up goaltender is as good as the starter

I don't think they'll win it, but I would not be surprised to see them in the Conference semi-finals...possibly Conference finals.

As an Oil fan it's nice to have something other than the quality of the ice to be proud of.
Justin Schultz looks like a stud.

    NHL who?

Can't say I care much one way or the other about them coming back this time. I'm pretty much done with them. Every time they pull this crap, they lose a little bit more of me, and this time I think they lost all that I had left. I haven't set foot inside a ballpark since 94, and I think I'm at the same point now with the NHL. Better things to do with my time.

I have it on the highest authority that the biggest sports miracle in history will occur this season and the Leafs will win the Cup.

    to bad I'm an atheist.

    four game winning streak!
I can hear the crowds "break up the leafs"!

I am only delusional about the leafs. Ordinarily I'm a pragmatic kinda guy. :)

I am interested enough now to hope the Flyers come in 8th place in the East to beat the Blackhawks with an undefeated season.

The flyers are the biggest underachievers in hockey.
