I wish we could move Israel to an island in the Atlantic (maybe the Chinese will build them one). Then the Middle Eastern barbarians can continue their tribal wars in perpetuity.

There. Just keep your head in the sand - it's dangerous out there.

Israel is actually the source of many problems in the region.. particularly to Lebanon, Syria and Egypt. The lack of justice for the Palestinians causes resentment against the US. The US is well aware of it ..That's why every US president has tried to broker a peace deal since the 1960s. I am cautiously hopeful that peace is a possibility now... Israel is here to stay.. Recognition, a Palestinian state, diplomatic and trade relations would be a huge step in the right direction.

Israel just defends itself. If that causes problems for other nations, I don't care.

Even in the middle of the Atlantic, orthodox, tribal Jews will somehow likely find a way to alienate their neighbours, who shall de facto as well as de jure become antisemites, and most likely terrorists too. That's why everyone longs for their returns in the numerous lands they went by.

Israel has been on a mission to seize more land and water assets since the 1950s. Read Moshe Dayan.

They always wanted the Shaaba Farms, the Golan Heights and a piece of Lebanon up to the Litani River.

The only land Israel has taken was paid for with blood, when they were attacked by their neighbors.

They have no intention of annexing parts of Egypt or Jordan.

This is not the case in Syria. Syria is "secular". Syria does not have strict sharia and the Imam's have little influence on Gov't. The whole "call to Jihad" in Syria was on the basis of "secularism". The Jihadists want sharia theocracy to be the law of the land/political system.

In Syria you had drinking in bars and dancing. Women in skirts and wearing proper bathing suits. A woman does not need a man's permission to get an education and they can drive cars. There is freedom of religion - Christian Churches. They do not kill gays and stone women for adultery in Syria. Assad has Christian generals in his army.

Saudi Arabia on the other hand has a backwards extremist Islamist ideology and totalitarianism. There is no comparison in terms of individual rights and freedoms - the principle on which this nation was founded.

Our involvement in Syria has been disgusting foreign policy action... truly reprehensible. Arming the Islamist Jihadists (including Al Qaeda, ISIS, Salafists, MB, Islamic Front .. and so on) in conjunction with (Saud, Qatar and others) is responsible for the worst humanitarian crisis so far this decade (500,000 killed and counting), the rise of the modern incarnation of ISIS , and the refugee crisis which is spreading the plague of Saudi inspired extremist Islamist ideology all over the globe.

Name one terrorist action (outside the ME) committed by groups supported by Iran/Syria in the last couple of decades. I can not think of one. All this crap is coming from groups that Saud supports and who have adopted the Saudi inspired Islamist ideology ... such as: Taliban, Al Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram, Salafists, Al Shabaab and various groups in Pakistan/India and so on.

Do you know where the Shaaba Farms, Litani River and Golan are? Israel has been built on the blood of Palestinians and British peacekeepers. "Never again"... unless you are Palestinian.. The Palestinians have paid for the Holocaust in Europe with their homes, orchards, villages and lives.

In hindsight, maybe attacking Israel in 1967 (and 1973) wasn't such a good idea. And slaughtering the Israeli Olympic team wasn't a brilliant move either.

    Like elections, wars have consequences.

Good Lord, honey.. The Egyptian army was deployed to Yemen when the Israelis attacked Egypt in 1967.

Yeah a bunch of billionaires representing a bunch of billionaires. The best government money can buy. I'm an American and I'd be hard pressed finding anyone in DC who represents my interest or any other of the 99.999% of Americans.

But unfortunately we vote for them over and over again. Jamie Dimon and Lloyd Blankfein are the leaders of our nation

I don't know about "we" because I don't vote for criminals or wannabe criminals. As for those who do, they are not given any reasonable choice, the game is rigged to make sure the winner represents billionaires. The 2 exclusive parties are 2 sides of the same coin serving the same master(s).

Yeah the 60% majority (give or take). The illusion that you have a choice works for the majority.

Gaddafi was a thug who played games with Islamists, the CIA and the KGB. Maybe, that's why he died rather savagely alone. Not quite the same with Assad.

On another note, now that Trump has appeased the Saudis with a $110 billion dollar weapons bonanza, we can expect the accelerated pogrom of Christians in the Middle East.

Coptic bus attack: Egypt hits jihadist camps in Libya after 28 Christians slain

Ironically, Egypt is part of the Muslim NATO blessed by Trump.

So, it was a very welcoming place? Women are empowered, churches are thriving, bibles are distributed freely and the gospel was proclaimed by American preachers to lost souls?

Assume we disagree on terror in Israel being a diffrent case from US gov point of view as well, I do not accpet an Iranian cellebrating dead civilians in Israel but condeming it in Iraq, when you support a suicide terrorist you support ALL of them world wide regardless of goal, when you justify a bomb in a bus in Israel you also justify it in Syria, when you accept a shahid in Israel you also accept them in any other place - the "heroic" death of one Shahid for killing civilians in one place - makes them all holy around the world and in this regard Iran and allllll the other Muslim countries including KSA have supported and groomed for decades, so I dont see a diffrence between any of them, I dont care if they only murder Africans in one place or Jews in another.
