The Chaz Bono controversy

This kinda thing would never have even taken place in the
radical 60's let alone the - Leave it to Beaver - 50's and
most definately not the 40's.
Forget the 30's { Dust Bowl & Depression } where this kind of
slothful excess would never even be tolerated let alone considered.
But this is what Excess { Chaz obviously not having to worry about
working,getting a job or even affording whatever creme puffs HE/SHE
obvioulsy overindulged to the point of sheer Fatness} ends in.
I blame Cher.Not even Sonny.Cher who probably coddled and
took the side of her Fat Lazy daughter who was never instilled with any
work ethic or sense of discipline.This is what happens when Super Rich
like Cher can make it so easy for their kid to be a couch potato.
Let's face it.That is the basic problem here.
Chaz never had to do as much as mop a floor in HIS/HER entire life.
This is the result.An extremely spoiled and Lazy daughter who had nothing
better to do with HER/HIS time than blame a gender on one's problem.
I mean this is the very definition of a Sick Society.
Even the Romans would be Loathe to defend this behavior.

 

Why is this controversial?

She had a sex change operation .

Children have always been born who have ambiguous genitailia and they have undergone surgery for decades.

Jamie Curtis for instance.

I babysat for a toddler that was having reconstruction in the late 1950s.

 

All I know is "it" is ugly as hell.

"it" obviously has mental problems.

 

This ISN'T a medical abnormalty.Yes,there are now shows where really
horrible abnormality effect people.And they need operations to just
appear in public w/o ultimate shame.
That is not the case here.
This is a case of a Rich Celebrity who may have decided to seek attention,
not by accomplishment or striving for beauty but the converse.To look
their worse and then find rational to lay blame other than themself.
It would be one thing if Chaz worked like the dickens to be healthy and
maintain a sense of beauty thru hard work.This is the opposite.
Doint the least and then exp[ecting the same result.
She needs to be mocked and ridiclued for being slothful.
She wasn't born with sloth genes.

 

So what? If she thinks she's a man... she's a man.

No one should be subjected to cruelty unless that's your bag.

 

The controversy is not with the sex change, it is with the highlighting of the person on television. Women who have had breast augmentation and are highlighted in television shows (i.e. Pamela Anderson on Baywatch in the the early 1990's) had the potential and probably did increase the number of breast augmentation surgeries. The promotion of homosexuality in television might have increased the number of professed homosexuals in USA culture. The question is, if the analogies listed above are true, will your kid be asking for a sex change after watching the next season of Dancing with the Stars even though your kid may have had no prior insecurity with regard to a gender identity? Fair question to me.

 

She is Cher's daughter.. She has always been an object of public curiosity.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

 

The shows ratings have been falling.'IMO Chaz was invited simply to stir up people and increase ratings. And while I couldn't care less how Chaz chooses to live his life, I dislike anyone being used simply to pump up a TV show.

curosity.This is actually a no brainer.
I can name numerous children of Very Famous Actors/Actress/Rock legends
who few in society ever knew existed.
That crap started with the Osbourns {Ozzie}.

Why is Chastity Bono an issue?

 

Yes,that is true and makes perfect sense.To say that Kids aren't
impressionable and aren't effected by what they see on the silver screen
is the height of irresponsibility.If that was even remotely true,then
why advertise out the Wazoo on TV.
Of course it's true.Yer examples are great proof.

 

Because it has now progreseed to what Ellen DeGeneres has done.
That being to Popularize and Rationalize a behavior/mindest as
more than merely a right,but an Obligation.
And that it's Society who needs to feel shamed for not accepting.
The initiative to Shame Society into accepting unwholesome and
perverse behavior as if natural.

Reality shows should pretend transgender people don't exist?

 

No one need be a professional as long as they fully know right
from wrong and the history of this land.Right now,the Liberals have won
as far as social issues.ANYTHING GOES.Abortion is a right.
Homosexuality is a good lifestyle choice.Society has no right to judge
personal behavior.Standards and Mores need to be thrown out the door.
No wonder Chastity had to change her name.Her Gender.All these
mixed messages that Liberals have authored cause confusion.
There are no longer any rules.ANYTHING GOES.
Unless of course someone finds Abortion wrong or a Gay Lifestyle.
It's the manifest DUMBING DOWN of a culture to better serve a
non-thinking,lazy progressive agenda.It's the NEA's fault also.
Teachers used to teach and demand respect.Now they pander to
soclal perversity.

 

Reality shows may very well be the end of a civilized society as we
know it.Oh yeah,they're interesting and shocking but Society is never
well served when a Carny show takes over for where the PTA once
commanded.Kids today actually are being instructed that Bad Behavior
is acceptable.

 

Transgender people don't exist. Only very disturbed individuals who have mutilated their genitals.

It's a Societal invention to further excuse away personal responsibility.

Those in the Animal Kingdom have enough sense to not pull this
kinda crap ... for whatever sense that would make.

A couple of thoughts --

If ABC television wants to put a transgendered individual on one of their shows, they certainly have the right to do so. If Chaz Bono chooses to be on said show, hoping that the resultant publicity will help his/her career, then s/he certainly has that right.

And if anyone doesn't like it, there are two buttons on the remote control that they can use - one changes the channel, the other turns the television off.

There are a lot of trashy shows on television that my family and I don't watch - Jersey Shore being the one that pops readily to mind.

Don't let your children be manipulated by the images they see on television - teach them the difference between TVLand and reality, and they'll be just fine!

 

I agree that reality shows are bottom-of-the-barrel scumsuckers. But I still don't get why you think they should pretend certain types of people don't exist.

 

Setting aside whether you're right or wrong, why the F do you care? Is Chaz Bono harming you in some way merely by existing?
