That they fed it to the FBI to get an investigation going hoping to ruin the Trump campaign and then after that didn't work and he won to use it to discredit the administration the ultimate goal being to get him removed? Fusion was peddling it to reporters the summer of 2016 and Michael Iskoff was reporting on in in September followed up by David Corn reporting about it.

False Fusion was bringing in journalist the summer of 2016 briefing them on it and the first reporting based on it was published in September by Michael Isakoff followed by reporting by David Corn.

Are you denying that Comey twice inserted himself in 2016 with pejorative statements about Clinton while at no point did he make any statements about Trump?

I have to agree with Lesh that it was far too kind to Comey.

Jeff Daniels didn't work real well for me, but I can't really imagine a better typecast.

I think maybe it would have better and far more appropriate if Comey had played himself.

Also, maybe more importantly, the end result of 3h 30m for me was that it sucked just about exactly as I had expected it would.

What I'm waiting for, is a Wag the Dog style expose that provides a fictionalized narrative of Trump-Putin pillow talk and ties that back in to all of the explicit destruction Trump continues to do to the US and to its western alliances.

This waste of time only served to portray Comey as a guy who did the wrong thing for what he ostensibly, according to Billy Ray, thought were the right reasons.
