Being a child of the 60's: Folk music to me means Judy Collins and Joan Baez, Sylvia and Ian Tyson as well as the Kingston Trio. Wish I knew how to put up the youtube videos! But if we consider maritime music as folk music then I will add: Rita McNeil, The Rankin Family, The Barra Mcneils. And I'm not sure if he's considered folk but I am a HUGE fan of Stompin Tom Connors!
