He like most on the left wanting to take arms will want others to assume any risk. Never met a liberal who didn't expect someone else to enforce their edicts.

Why does he always bring up outlandish derailing topics

Then he pretends someone else did.

For the current US states WITH shall-issue statutes for concealed firearms permits, the next question becomes how young? Some states are going as young as 18.

For the current states WITHOUT shall-issue, they are still struggling with the right of the People to carry firearms in public -- sort of like being back in the dark ages before there was any freedom or democracy.

Those are the two salient issues.

Training is also a salient issue.

Look at the age for entering Military service, 18, too young to purchase firearms or alcohol.
    .Lots of people have training.

most of those people know gun control is unconstitutional but their agenda trumps intellectual honesty.

Then continue reporting him for his numerous violations, until such time that he has been removed for a third time.

is your brother in law stupid or more likely dishonest? I suspect the latter. or he will claim that since the supreme court allowed unconstitutional crap to remain-its now constitutional. ask him if he REALLY believes that the Wickard v Filburn case was a proper interpretation of the commerce clause

Smart enough to get into Harvard.

Too stupid to understand the Constitution or Bill Of Rights.

Same as Ginsberg, Breyer, and Sotomayor.

Kagan has not heard a gun case yet so we can't say about her.

If you think college rape is the biggest threat most women face, you are defining "threat" very narrowly or need to read something a little more mainstream than a caveman novel. So far as I know, most colleges would still not allow women to carry your great equalizer even if that were true.

So much baloney, so little time, where to begin,
    O' Pal O' mine ???

I used to teach women a simple defense tactic that did not involve any guns, only a small legal (one hand to open ) folding knife, yet, those men it was applied to, never raped another woman and had to sit down to urinate, could never after father children either.

Empowering women against rape and endangerment.

It would depend upon how much training the woman had. I have a friend who served in the BP with me; she was 4'11" and weighed 100 pounds. We were stuck running issue Beretta 96Ds that were way too big for her hand - she trained herself to be at least competent with it - but her personal off-duty sidearm was a 1911 .45. She could run it better than most men.

The 1911 can be set up to fit very small hands, even better than the Glock can.

Funny thing is, prior to 1968 there was no age limit. A child could save up his money and then walk into a hardware store and buy a gun. My grandfather was 12 when he took the money he'd saved up and bought his first handgun; a Colt SAA in .38-40. There was less per capita violent crime then too....
