More than a few of them.

Last month there was a wildfire caused by a homeless person in the Sepulveda flood basin just north of the 101 in the San Fernando Valley. There were about 300 homeless in the encampment.

A few weeks ago the county came in with bulldozers to remove the homeless encampment. At the time there were still 200 homeless still camping out. Almost all them were tweakers.

All were offered motel vouchers and only two accepted the vouchers.

These meth heads prefer living outdoors and just getting tweaked out on meth.

The thing is, when these tweakers first became homeless they weren't using drugs.

I'm aware what was taking place back in the day before the funny farms were emptied out and closed down.

Clint Eastwood produced a movie "Challenging" that exposed or showed what was going on with mental institutions in L.A. during the 1920's.

Socialist Rent Controls. If any building is going on, it's high end and out of the reach of the Socialists. Why would anyone build apartments where investors are guaranteed to lose money on every dime invested? Socialists are pukes who took LGBTQ studies instead of economics in school.

Guys like you are devoid of answers regarding solving problems. All you do is blame and point fingers.

Situations like the ones illustrated in Clint’s movie are why “bleeding heart”lawyers and the ACLU moved to protect citizens from corrupt and abusive police tactics regarding mental health. Oversight is a very important part of government. However abandoning the whole mental health system in a State because authorities were prevented from torturing, falsely imprisoning and stomping on peoples Rights was not the solution. We need to restore our mental health facilities here in California and throughout the country.

You are the guy that blamed homelessness on bleeding heart lawyers who defended people who were being falsely imprisoned, tortured and held indefinitely by crooked and corrupt police and other beaurocrats. You are really missing the point here champ. Eastwood is no liberal but he sure as hell defended the liberals who challenged the crooks in LA City Hall back in the good old days when right wingers controlled the City and the slimy corrupt police department. Liberals have changed the city for the better.

Wait... are we talking about the fed government, or LA County?

Because you know they have different budgets.

Real estate values are so high in certain cities in our country those who earn less than $100,000 minimum per year are completely priced out of both buying and renting in these locations.

I didn't blame bleeding heart liberals back during the 1960's for the homeless problem because there was no real homeless problem at the time.

During the 60's and into the 70's there were hippie crash pads all across the country. Outside of the cities you had the hippie communes. Nobody went hungry and there was always a place to lay down to sleep.
**** you didn't even need a car back then, you just stuck out your thumb.

Even when Birnie Sanders was hungry and needed a shower he would protest something and get himself arrested so he could take a shower and get three meals per day in the county jail.

In SoCal some people rent out bedrooms the average seems to be $600 to over $1,000 per month with no cable TV or wifi !!! -> https://www.trulia.com/for_rent/Los_Angeles,CA/ROOM_FOR_RENT_type/

Work that out at $ per square feet.

In the Capital of the Third World (L.A) the average rental is renting out at around $4. per sq foot per month.

The average rental of 791 sq ft goes for $2,516 per month.

    https://www.rentcafe.com/average-rent-market-trends/us/ca/los-angeles/

Crunching the rental numbers it seems the more poop there is on the sidewalks the higher the rent.

    Must be a L.A. thing.
