    Hmmm,

if Abbott stays, the LIBS will lose the next election. That is 100% sure. Good for Labor, job done by the LIBS themselves.....

If he is dumped, Turnbull will take on (I assume) and this will make it much harder for Labor, Bill Shorten will throw up.....

But how come we are getting those unfinished leaders? What is going wrong in our country?

    regards

I've heard Julie Bishop is in the lead with the punters. I don't know if I want someone who organised a deal with Sri Lanka to help them recover their refugees so they can kill them is someone I want as PM.

When does the deceit begin, when Abbott opens his mouth.

"They are asking the party to vote out the people that the electorate voted in' Mr Abbott said on Friday."

Abbott is fear mongering that to drop him and Bishop from the Leadership, a by-election results!

My gut feeling is they may hold on to him.

The successor would see it as a poisened chalice. No doubt the schism would be quite significant to build long lasting cohesion that will last to the next election. Turnbull said he would not lead a government that does not support real action on climate change. Julie Bishop will need to be ready for the ride of her life. What was good for Julia Gillard will be good for her. The crap that was dished out to Gillard will come back to haunt Bishop, who did nothing to support Gillard on issues such as gender. She will be a sitting duck for Labor who will no doubt go for the jugular. I'm sure this will be a consideration in the back of her mind. It's a shame, but the liberals showed no mercy.....none at all!

The only real alternative is Turnbull, which will mean the party will have to change their mind on "climate change", such as an ETS and rid us of knights and dames with a genuine push for a republic. Turnbull apparently was not happy about having to sell a half hearted NBN but was under direction to sell whatever policy that differed to labor. Pure examples that will ensure that the coalition will have lost absolute, I mean absolutely all credibility.

Holding onto abbott may give them some credibility for the long term, but I suppose MP's are looking forward to 18 months time when their positions will be in the balance, if not assured of decimation.

The liberals are already in the same bloody chaotic position Labor were in you goose! How stupid do you think Australians are you clown! We are all sick of your blatantly stupid remarks that cut across obvious reality! This is one of the reasons you are disliked you lying, foolish, deceptive fool! Stop talking sh!t and stop talking like we are as stupid as you. Sorry but this guy is really getting on my nerve the way he speaks down to us. For frigs sake just be real! We know you won't be real because the only thing you are interested in is your own ar$e. How about respecting your party and Australians and just bloody resign! This is the best thing you can do for your country, seeing you want the best for us. This is the best thing you can do if you don't want the chaos associated with the previous Labor government! Just resign Tones and save the blood letting in your party! Tony abbott is about tony abbott!

    Me me, wonderfull me!

"Despite some distractions, I am just getting on with government."

Mr Abbott "it's always been about me, as far as I am concerned."

Prime Minister Tony Abbott says he expects next week's spill motion to fail and he'll take that as an endorsement of his leadership.

Finance Minister Mathias Cormann says the prime minister has emerged victorious from tough scrapes before and will again.

    Like when?

Labour has had a female Prime Minister.

The LNP still goes on, if it has not got balls it should be doing the ironing.

After shirt fronting Putin, should be a pee in the park!

"Tony Abbott stares down a move by disgruntled MPs to oust him as prime minister."

They're in a hug panic. Polls are crap, lots of backbenchers and some Ministers will lose their jobs at the next federal election if things go as they are with policy, not just personalities. I think they'll install Turnbull because of the panic. It won't help them though. Unless they move swiftly from the right to the centre-right they are going to be history.

Its all too much for Abbott!

25,000+ signatures hand-delivered to Bill Shorten, Tanya Plibersek, Adam Bandt;...Sky News, UK Daily Mail run stories;...Labor MP formally asks PM to produce British Citizenship renunciation form...

PM says last thing we need is uncertainty!

MPs are unhappy the first they heard of the decision to bring forward the meeting was through the media and not from chief government whip Philip Ruddock.

Abbott had scheduled the meeting for Tuesday, changed his mind on Sunday to be Monday.

Abbott hoping to off foot his collegues, unable to reschedule flight reservations, is seen as exactly that!

Thinking Turnbull knows something that the media don't. If he is as smart as we think he is, you would guess that he has kept his cards very close to his chest with comments he has made about members being able to put their hands up for the leadership role in the instance of a spill, without being branded disloyal. I'm guessing the numbers are there for him, and his supporters have kept information nicely from the media to beat up. Maybe he is arranging the furniture for a future run but you would think these comments suggest something sooner rather than later. Abbott changing the date of the party room meeting no doubt has inflamed the internal angst. Just another example of this fools selfish and deceptive manner. Again, he just can't help himself and reason why he is not worthy to be our leader. David Cameron could give him a seat if he is unsuccessful!

Excellent article by Amanda Vanstone: http://m.smh.com.au/comment/why-tony-abbotts-leadership-is-in-peril-20150208-138wz3.html

So how many days did it take Abbott to break his promise to not make any more Captain's Calls?

So here we are. Waiting. I don't think the spill will happen. I may have changed my mind on that, no, it's not a Captain's call just my confusion. It would be a hoot if he forced Ruddock to put it to an open vote. Anyway, keep him, Labor can do well with Abbott in charge.
