    I know exactly what it means. I am not talking about the means to pass legislation. I am talking about the means to prevent the Republicans from passing anything further. No more right wing judges, no more tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations, no cuts to critical social services. Trump will be gone by 2020, despite all his fear mongering tactics to try and win elections.

    They can try, but it won't stop many things like certain executive orders, Senate votes (if the Repubs manage to keep the Senate), and SCOTUS rulings.

    The right doesn't need any more right wing judges, and the right can count on certain executive orders and SCOTUS rulings even if the left takes the House. If the left takes the house and senate, then they can stop Trump.

    Wow. That’s not connected to reality.

    The “right wing hate groups” have nothing to do with Reagan, Bush, Trump, or conservatism. They aren’t “right wing”.

    SCOTUS, Judges, Etc. Won't be affected at all.

    But, with a Dem.House, a GOP Senate will be toothless as far as legislation.

    We can undo those Executive Orders in 2020, first 100 Days just like Trump did. And the Senate won't get much done without the House. SCOTUS is a longer term problem, that will likely be the avenue that Republicans try to assert their authoritarian ideology as baby boomers begin to die out and Republicans begin to really lose elections by wide margins. All this flailing from Republicans will be undone by generations who actually have to inherit this world and country and raise our children in it. Enjoy it while it lasts.

    This thread is locked because the OP is nothing but flamebait and makes absolutely no attempt at creating a basis for respectful debate.

    With that being said, some incredibly well reasoned responses and rebuttals did emerge, so hte htread was not deleted. Well done to those who had the grace, dignity, and intelligence to not take the bait and managed to provide intelligent discourse to what could have been nothing but a flame thread.
