    Not personally, but I've met him a couple of times. I've hung out with the drummer (Johnnie Bolin) some and got to talk to JD a little from that.

    BOA was my first concert ever, back in 1972. That was before the spandex and his struttin' rooster persona. It was a great show and the opening act was Captain Beyond....some night, for sure!! I've seen them a bunch of times since then.

    There just ain't nuthin' like a bunch of electric hillbillies!!

    When I worked concert security, we had to work the Hank Williams Jr. concert one night. Being mostly urban, too-cool, been there and done that city dwellers, the thought of having our venue invaded by a bunch of (*)(*)(*)(*)kickers from the small farming towns surrounding St. Louis was terrible.

    We arrived during sound check for the opening act, and this group of electric hillbillys was poundin' out "Spirit In The Sky", and they sounded good... real good!

    I began to develop an appreciation for the electric hillbillies, thanks to the Kentucky Headhunters! :)

    It was cute when it first came out but, after about 4-5 repetitions you want to take a flame thrower to every percussion section in the world.:puke:
